Here's another anecdote, bloodisred. Decided to play Football Manager 2010 a few days back (chose to manage Liverpool, of course), and come the Champions League group phase draw we get Juventus and Atletico Madrid along with some team from Eastern Europe that I don't recognize. And my first thought was, "OMG, what a strong group!" And then I thought, "No, idiot, that's a weak group. Those are Europa Cup teams. This is the Champions' League! What am I afraid of?"

Then I realized that the reason I had that knee jerk reaction is because I know that if the current (real life) Liverpool team went out to play either of those sides, I wouldn't even put money on us drawing.

Juventus had an open cheque book this summer and we can still beat them however

haha I know video games don't mean real life, but when thinking about what I'm gonna do with my Liverpool team on Fifa 11, so many higher ranked players get left out of the side so I can have important attributes in important areas. Kuyt doesn't get a sniff at right wing cause you need pace there, ame with cole on the left. And skrtel can pick himself a nice seat somewhere on the bench.

God I've got a terrible feeling about this one.

I really think we're going to get a pasting after the way we've been playing. This side tore Celtic apart twice.

This is the first half decent side we are up against in this tournament, i think we will struggle aswell if we continue to play footy like my nan.
