SPAC Hicks Acquisition II plans $200 million IPO

Hicks Acquisition II, a blank check company organized by Thomas Hicks of Hicks Holdings, LLC, announced terms for its IPO on Monday. The Dallas, TX-based company plans to raise $200 million by offering 20 million units at an estimated price of $10 per unit and list on the OTC BB under the symbol HAC. Each unit consists of one share of common stock and one warrant entitling the holder to purchase one share of common stock at $12 per share. Citi and Deutsche Bank Securities are the lead underwriters on the deal, which is expected to price during the week of October 4.

Don't believe?

Lets assume Hicks is successful in trying to achieve his goal. He now owns Liverpool FC. If we, the fans, then begin withdrawing all means of financial support going into the club, what would happen? The club would start to become a financial negative for Hicks. This in turn would force him out, whether he likes it or not. There'd be nothing in the world that would stop this from happening. Yes this would also hurt Liverpool FC, deeply. But what are the alternatives? Are we just delaying the inevitable should we not act in this manner, now?

But does it?

Im no financial eagle or anything but this is a separtate company so how can he use the money raised by this to pay of the Banks? He would have used the money raised by this companies shareholders to pay of the RBS debt, pretty sure that would be illegal or use the company to acquire of the other yanks shares, again pretty sure it wouldnt be that easy.

Like I said Im no fiancial eagle so could some please explain how he could use this company to screw LFC?
