Mr Ruddock>>

Agree!

Talking about tough defenders: why not give Kyrgiakos a fair chance? He did some nice appearances a few games on a row last season (while Skrtel was injured - hit by Carra for the 1:st time!).

Mabye we´ll need a better option, but I think he´s the best available for us at the moment. Anyway: Without a doubt he´s the best header in the team - with him on the pitch the crosses that all the other teams are throwing at us into our penalty area might perhaps be met by a 'red head', and not the opposite, which most oftenly is a fact at the moment.

Also I think it´s time we realize that Glen J isn´t a crap defender. He´s not a defender at all!!! Until we find (= can afford) a decent right winger, let´s put him there and let Kelly take charge of the right full back duties. If Kelly can get some support from a decent centre back like Agger or Kyrgiakos I think it might work. Poor Glen isn´t only skinned all the time, he has Carra as backup on his side. Poor fella!

Sometimes it feels we would actually have a better defence playing 3-5-2, without a right back at all! Then the holding midfielders would know we have a big hole on the right side, and that they need to fill it up. Now they do have a player out there, but he gets skinned EVERY SINGLE TIME! Confusing!

I still support Mr Hodgson and it wouldn't be v ery 'liverpool' to sack someone in a reactionary manner and also to appoint someone in a reactionary manner. Interms of man management I can only imagine he is 'better' than benitez but I think he is actually going overboard on his tactics at the moment. Pick the system to fit the players you have as someone said on a recent post, not picking a player ie poulson to fit a system. Put your best 11 out stop this 'rotation' nonsense it benefited LFC yesterday but that was largely a cull after the northampton defeat you must have in your mind a best 11 The only time you really need to adapt the system massively is for hte european games .Cup match, premier match its 100 miles per hour stuff. No time for poulson who is out of the action and when he gets the ball his ingrained reaction is to pass it immediately. Better than lucas perhaps who is guilty of losing the ball. But comeon a football must be able to stop the ball dead with his foot to see passing options surely? poulson can't even do that in my opinion. Sorry to be hard on a new guy but hes 'peak of career' juventus been there done that type' and his game is sooo limited.

I belive honestly that liverpooll will do rather well with Mr H but I'm not expecting great things and the next few weeks will be telling I think he will adapt if he is stubborn he is finished but I don't think he will be stubborn and play POULSON every match

That said, it's absolutely ridiculous to be talking about sacking the guy after 6 games, he needs a couple of seasons before he can be properly judged. gross stupidity

What I believe is needed urgently (and some of these points will seem like heresy to some):

Drop the obsession with Jamie Carragher. Great servant but past his best, no pace, not big enough for a centre half in today's game - I've been saying this for the last 3 years;

Play Agger as CB every game, provided he toughens up a bit - a centre half suffering concussion after being hit by a super-light ball must have made Tommy Smith laugh for weeks;

Drop Skrtel, his pretentions as a tough guy are limited to a shaved head and numerous tattoos. Abilities as a footballer stop there as well;

Release Aurelio and Insua on free transfers if that's what it takes to get them off the wage bill. I don't want to risk them appearing in the red shirt ever again;

I need not mention how I would deal with Lucas - suffice to say he is the worst player I have seen to regularly appear in our first team;

Tell Poulsen if he can't improve his performances by at least 100% after fully acclimatising to the English game he'll be sued for breaching the Trade Descriptions Act;

Make infinitely more use of Jay Spearing;

Play Babel in the centre, or not at all and always select him ahead of Ngog. Not that I'm overly enamoured with the Dutchman but he's the best support striker we have right now - I regard Joe Cole and Stevie as purely midfielders;

Should Nando still look like a shadow of the player he was in 2009 by this coming Easter, discreetly let other clubs know he is available for transfer.

May sound a touch brutal but desperate times call for harsh measures. I'm sick and tired of watching dross on a regular basis.

The players you mention you wanna get rid of but want to make "infinitely more use of spearing". You must be having a bubble mate. Spearing is a nothing player. Certainly not better than Lucas.

He can't afford to drop Poulsen forever after a handful of games. Why? Because he signed him! To drop him now would be openly admitting he doesn't know anything about the football talent required at a major club.

So expect him to stick around until every single person who comes up to him tells him Poulsen is rubbish.

This is exactly what happened with Rafa and Lucas. Do any of you believe if that Lucas didn't play as many games as he should, we would have won prem league in 08-09?
