Ah, blind optimism. Can't fault it.

The toxics will still be here for a while yet, I fear.

isn't it hte 14th?
I see in I think it's the telegraph that a takeover without deduction for administration may be on the cards .If you can believe that that is a result. LFC is profitmaking so apparantly there is a case for avoiding the Portsmouth scenario.
Then you will get a buyer because RBS regard LFC as a hot potato lets hope its a good buyer and not an american buyer these financiers especailly the 'leverage' proponents financiers are the enemy of football

Not a chance it will be over 10 days, it would be nice but not gonna happen. And the date keeps getting pushed back, first the 6th, then 11th now the 14th, basically we have no idea when this saga will be over.

Im still unsure whether we even get rid of the cancer, I can see them getting refinanced, not by a bank but some other crook looking to bleed us to death.

I posted this in a different thread. Think it's more appropriate here now...

"Hicks Acquisition II plans to raise $200 million by October 4 and Citi and Deutsche Bank are the lead underwriters on the deal."

Dont see this happening, they have both knocked back Hicks already I think. The 200m might be for something else but I dont see it being used to prolong our agony. Nothing has changed so why would those banks suddenly go year ok Tom here 200m to destroy LFC with!

Why do banks/loan sharks even consider giving credit to a man with a proven record of defaulting on loans? Do they think they will stand a better chance of being paid? Do they think they will gain property that is actually worth anything?
