I like the honesty but it just doesn't fill me as a fan with the confidence that things are going to improve. Its almost the attitude of if i keep on going things will turn around for me instead of making things happen.

I have seen this seasons performances and i would say they don't look good. There have been moments but nothing that lasts very long. I hope i am wrong but this does look more like the Blackburn situation with Roy. He came to Blackburn and after about a season in charged was sacked when Blackburn we bottom.

He still has time to prove me wrong but the clock is now ticking!!!

right i see we have a few people now on a number of threads all claiming their greatness about how they new roy wasnt up to the task from the beginning. ill say two things: firstly its a 50/ 50 prediction, so even if your methods were totally wrong, the outcome may not reflect actual football knowledge. and secondly, ya have to give him the ferguson window of opportunity. otherwise we turn into the joke that is real madrid with their revolving door method to management and potentially pass up a succesful tenure.

We WILL beat sunderland on saturday as i think stevie, nando and are other big guns will want to prove that were just a sleeping giant, and you will see us wake up on saturday.

I agree mate i can see us flying into sunderland at the weekend and releasing all the pressure that has built up.
Its just think we need a win and a preformance to show that the team still care (which im sure they do) and all this negativity surounding the start to the season, after a couple of wins will start to fade.

yep a good run will help everyone, i hope he just goes for it rather then being more scared to lose then win.

I defended Rafa to the hilt last season even when he didnt deserve it. Nothing changes this season, Roy gets my full backing regardless.

Very interesting to read Roy's comments. I've rarely heard a manager being as honest as that, I like that.

Lads, come on, that team was MORE than good enough to win that game, we all know that. I think you are putting way too much emphasis on tactics also. It wasn't like we were playing in an ultra defensive formation. Simply put the players under performed (like they have been for a long time now), they under performed under Rafa, they are under performing for Roy.

I think we are placing too much blame on the manager, the players have a lot to answer for as well.
