We are all really pi##ed off and hurting BUT is there anything that looked positive from tonights game (siht that's a big ask!) with respect to Jones,Wilson, Kelly, Pacheco, CB pairing, etc?

I did ask on another thread if someone would give a player rating but it seemed to get lost in the haze of disappointment - sounds like the team performance was a 3 out of 10 at best but would anyone care to throw any light on anything positive re above players?

The mere fact the game is over is a positive, never seen anything like it. I though we were bad against the sh*te this was just another level.

Now I know he has said we must all take responsibility, but from that sentence and the rest of his comments after the game I think hes putting too much on the players and not enough on himself. The fans and players have faith in you roy, and it is you who set these players up, it is you that tells them the tactics, for me it is you who hasn't repaid the faith in almost every game this season. Including wins, where we have looked poor. You need to do more with the good players you have!

i know its early but aint been very impressed (being very modest) with roys tactics (two holding mid and playing slow wingers like maxi). i hope he gets this sorted out but i wont be holding my breath. we have been out played by Birmingham, west brom and now northampton. at the mo we are a laughing stock

i was listening to the the last 30 mins of normal time and extra time on LFC.tv and it sounded like shelvey and ecclestone were the only highlights of the entire game also sounded like babel and ngog were embarrassingly bad so if we are luckly enough to get a league 2 side in the FA cup i dont want to see lucas ngog babel anywhere near the game amoo deserved a game and playing pacheco on the right is a joke let the youngsters off the leash roy

Didnt watch the game myself so i wouldnt know, but the only positive i can see is we're not the only team that should be through but got knocked out, there were several other results. At anfield infront of our owns fans against league 2 side, we should of outplayed them but i guess we're not the liverpool side we were back then.

Once again the reserve players proved they aren't good enough to make the step up. You would have thought an opportunity like this for them to shine would be all the motivation they need. But no, the complacency has set in again and they got done by the mighty Northampton Town. Seen it too often. Starting to get used to it now.

I hope now the voices "why this young lad is not playing", or "why this one didn't get a chance" will stop now...they did get a chance - and they blew it!!!
Spearing and Lucas - NOT GOOOD ENOUGH, if they can't control the game against Northampton!
Kyrgiakos and Agger... - we shouldn't conceed ANY goal against League Two side - NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Babel - against such team he should fly and score at least two goals if he wants to be considered as a striker - when I listened two the coverage - I barely heard his name...NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
N'Gog - credit for goal, and earlier goals this season - but still NOT GOOD ENOUGH yet (he is still young).
Jova - credit for goal, he still should get a chance - maybe as a target man?
Pacheco - what I've heard - best LFC player on the pitch - definitly should get a chance,
Shelvey - after he came in things started to look better - why so late Roy? - one to watch.
Kelly - still developing - he hadn't have bad match - for sure RB position we have well covered...
After yesterdays game I understand why Roy is not making changes during the games i PL...:(
