Hi, It is clear that I am a LIverpool fan since I was a child, and It is the one and only team in my heart. And nowdays our manager is Roy. And my manager is Roy. But this is a freedom forum for express diferente ideas.
Giving the sack to Rafa was the main mistake in the last years. At football level and at club level was a massive mistake. Rafa was the only person fighting against the Americans face to face. this is the real reason for dismissing Rafa. Not the new players, not the bad season. Rafa was a non confortable person for the owners of the club.
All those that are talking bad about Rafa will change their minds in the next seasons. Rafa - 1 Champions league + 1 fa cup + 1 second position on the table. 3 semifinals on Champions league on 4 years. And a 1-4 in Old Bathroom.
Yes.. I am talking about memories and old results. But personally I think that Rafa was the solution to the problem, not the problem as the owners proyected to the fans.
I think that the club has a personal debt with Rafa. And I hope he could return to Anfield with full power in a near future.
Bye.

Hi emp,
Have you thought for a second that he is Spanish, not English?
On the other hand, XABI wants to leave the club. None told you about what happend in the previous game vs Standard Liehje in Liverpool. You should ask about this point.
League? are you talking about when we finished second? Or are you ONLY talking about the last season? If for you Rafa is only the last season.. I think you have lost your sense too.
Rafa was the solution... The owners are liers. And they lied to Rafa. And now they are telling lies to the fans.
Rafa was, is and will be a legend. But donīt forget that when we won the 5th European cup.. he was the manager. and he will be in the books for ages.
bye.

Everyone is entitled to there own opnions, I have some very good memorys linked to Rafa at Liverpool, he had his good points but he also had bad points, he's a very stubborn man, stubborn at the cost of liverpool dropping points. And i am not just talking about last season, but look at it this way the season we came 2nd he cost us that title with stupid subs against lesser teams.
Making subs too late, taking players off we needed on when we could have gone on to take 3 points instead of the 1 we took many occasions. Yes he got us to 2nd, but he scupered his own chances of getting us to 1st.
Interviews: "lets talk about some facts" that was embarrasing, he lost it abit on that day. The Coach and manager thing... Who gives a flying fuuck wether you class yourself as the manager or the cleaner, just do the job your paid for.
Lucas: Below average player that he insisted on playing because he thought the sun shined out of his arrse, he cost us points with this aswell as it was negative football.
Rafa will always be in the history book at Liverpool for the 5th european cup, and he will be remebered for being the man behind Liverpool the day they played in the most amazing football match ever seen. I have great respect for him and he gave alot of money to charity here in Liverpool, he's a good man BUT, i dont miss him being the Liverpool Manager/Coach.

regardless of what people say, rafa was successful bar one season in 6 years. 1st season- champ league, 2nd season - fa cup/qualifying for the champions league, 3rd season- champions league finalists/qualified for champions league, 4th season- champions league semi finalists/qualifies for champions league, 5th season- prem runners up, champ league 1/4 finalists, 6th season, 7th ([oops]) Europa league semi finalists
while I admit we took a massive backward step last season, you can only partialy blame the manager and the players. What was rafas net spend last summer? Nothing. that says it all to me. We replaced the players that went out Johnson - arbeloa, aqualani - alonso and don't bite me head off for that, but where did we get extra players in, where was the 20mil we where supposed to get before player sales. All rafas funds for that season where through sales, and don't start with he spent it all on aqualani, that's a load of me arse. We needed at the start of that season regardless of alonso an arbeloa going 3 new players on top of the team that we had to push us further towards the title instead we sold two and replaced them with two

RAFA stayed 2 years longer than he should have ...
Since istanbul (which i do thank Rafa for) we have been going RAPIDLY down hill.
If Rafa had fooked off two years ago we wouldnt be in half as much sh1t as we are now. Rafa is gone, King ROY is here and i will be supporting him through and through.
You need to stop living in the past and concentrate on the future.
Lets set up a thread bitching about how much we miss Fowler, Mcmanaman, Dudek, Owen, Garcia etc etc etc etc.
Live in the present man seriously .. As everyone keeps saying if you are hung up on Rafa jog on to Inter. Your obviously supporting a man and not liverpool football club. Any "real" fan will support who ever is in charge at the time.
We all miss people Shankly being the biggest one but he aint coming back so get on with it.

Dear Collier123, you have no idea what you are talking about. Probably for you supporting Liverpool fc is as easy as swich on the tv or going to the pub, or even getting tickets in the town.
For me following the team 3.000 kmtres for Anfield is really difficult, due to the tv righs. I have seen at least 20 game the last season by internet, with a bad connection. Probablly for you watching a game of your team is a cake...but I garantee you that it isnt for me.
Probably you support the team because you are English or your scousse, and your parents, or your friends suppor the team. In my case none relative, none friend never ever support the team. I am the one and only suppporting the team in my hometown.
For me being to Anfield means each time 800 to 900 euros, what about you??
I have supported the team with King Kenny, sounnes, houlier, Moran, rafa, and now Roy.
Liverpool is not my team. it is my passion. I donīt like football. I only like Liverpool fc.
So donīt speak about anything you donīt know.
I have simply question for you. After King Kenny who was the best manager for you? Gerard? Roy? Graemme?? Come on and be honest.
bye.
