Yep Carlos, that & the fact that they've consistantly beaten us to the better players has also helped them greatly.

I thought Torres body language was awful - it's about time he put a shift in. I know he's been injured but certain players need to lead the way, yes the midfield had zero creativity but he needs to see past that work hard for the team. He knows that as soon as he has a midfield of Stevie, Cole, Raul, Maxi and Kuyt behind him then he's going to get chances so he's got to dig in and get on with it for now.

He knows does he? how does he know that? I don't know that and neither do you mate. For all those who watched the game, the entire team looked like they had never seen each other before, let alone know what each other was gonna do. We are finding out that two players can't win games anymore! If they are not at their best they can't look world class out of nothing. The team was god awful. Someone like Torres or Gerrard will score a special goal to win a game sometimes, but they cannot do it everytime. You are expecting Torres to win a game by himself every week, and if I had that on my shoulders, mine would be slumped too. Before u single out anyone for criticism. I think your blame should be aimed evenly at all the players on the pitch and those standing on the touch line telling them how to play. Because all of them together are looking like a joke, not one player who isnt winning a game out of nothing for us every week.

The first word that sprung to mind when I read your question asking how good Redknapp was at his peak is, decent. A decent player at best.

The player that most resembles Redknapp's playing style now is Xavi Alonso. In fact that's a perfect description of him. A Xavi Alonso type player but with nowhere near the game intelligence Xavi has nor the consistancy in accuracy of Xavi's long/short range passing. Redknapp was also more conservative in the forward passes he made. Prefering to keep possesion by playing the easier ball from side to side rather than the Xavi type killer pass to a striker/winger.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Xavi at his best, Redknapp was probably (at the peak of his game) a 6.

Hope that helps.

Lets hope torres has heared about this somehow. I think it will work as a motivator for him especially that King kenny has backed him to improve in the future. There is no better place then uniteds backyard to show your absolute best. Lets hope a fired up torres turns up and scores a couple.

I would seriously go for the kill with no DM involved. Play with Babel Merelies Gerrard Pacheco across the midfield and cole and torres upfront. It's highly unlikely, but if we can field a team without Lucas, i believe we have a chance. I also think we have been too ordinary against lesser teams but when big teams come along we perform, lets hope this happens and we can somehow motivate the team to increase their standards for the PL.
