Lads do you not think we are heaping an awful lot of pressure on Fernando's shoulders to win us games on his own away from home?

At least Gerrard is used to it, and has won us games on his own countless times before but when you see a midfield of Jovanovic, Poulsen, Lucas, Rodriguez you know you are going to have to rely on either Gerrard or Torres doing it on their own.

I really don't think Fernando is able to shoulder the same level of expectation as Gerrard.

If Roy is going for brawn over brain in midfield away from home expect more of the same this season I say. Mostly draws, very few goals though.

I sure do. The way we set up away from home and even at home against WBA it looks like if Nando doesn't score then no one will.

He would be doing well to get even a couple of chances at the moment TBH with our severe lack of creativity. Hopefully that will change for the better once Cole and Raul M start a few games..

matt b made a good point of johnson disapering in games the man can go forward but defensivly johnson is very very poor and if im honest id give kelly a run in right back because against better class of player as johnson gets picked off. as for rednapp torres did look below par and uninterested but it could of been down to his injuries, lets all be honest the team look very average at best and they will be no silverware this season not with the likes of lucas skyrtel jovo and poulson playing until the manager changes things its going to be a very long and poor season.

But Agger is such a far superior player and to have him on the bench while Skrtel runs around rushing into chalenges and displaying a severe lack of composure is madness.

Also playing Agger means that we might have at least 1 outfield player who looks comfortable on the ball.

No messin but I reckon Pepes is a better footballer than 90% of our outfield players. wink

If there is one bit of positiveness to come from this whole Torres bashing currently going on in the press, it's this. God help the manc defence come Sunday cos he'll be fired up as [oops] & the last time I saw a fired up Torres (with steam literally coming out of his ears), was against Real Madrid at home & we all know what happened that night. His performance that night even frightened me & I'm on his side.

He'll come good guys. Just give him the time he needs.

Yep he will but better yet is the Mancs will be thinking they have got an easy game coming. With Raul and Cole starting instead of Lucas and Poulsen or Lucas and Jovanovic then we will be a different team.

Sorry Whiskey but I have to disagree with you on one point.

If there is one thing in the world that I can put my house on, it's that Fergie would never allow any teams of his to go onto the pitch thinking it's going to be an easy game.

He'll do the reverse & say to his boys that they have to go out there & EARN the right to play their football.

This is true Acari, but Ive noticed Fergies nose is getting purpler by the day, you never know the drink may have finally addled him!

Both teams will be well up for it. Im pretty sure Gerrard and Carra will be giving the likes of Raul and Paulson a 101 in why we hate the Mancs and must beat them.
