i rather of lost todays game going for the win Or at least draw having scored! Have we managed to create more than 20 chances in total in our 4 league games to date? Our defensive midfield plan is rubbish, and the sooner we see the back of "Tries hard but sucks" Lucas the better! Furthermore, why are we not seeing the youth? Our first team looks out of ideas, and I can't see how we're going to suddenly start losing if Pacheco plays instead of Jovanovic.

poulsen is crap as well...
lets be host, west brom played us off the park at anfield the last game...
even though we won, we were poor...
gerrad has started this season just like last season, he has been poor...
the best CM so far was Masch a player no longer is with us....
torres is still not fully fit, why not play babel and introduce torres later

gerrad has started this season just like last season, he has been poor... We play with a back 6 who do nothing other than get in one another's way, and two "wingers" who can't beat a man. The manager also does not attempt to win the game until it is far too late, and because he is terrified of losing we use negative tactics and average players in duplicate roles in order to be certain we have no creativity on the field. Even on his best day Gerrard is going to look poor amid all that.

I've seen a lot of things that suggest Roy is going to give the fringe players a chance, but he's stuck to the same team since the start and all they've rewarded us with is a clutch win over one of the promoted clubs. So far our only glimpses of good play have been when Pacheco came on against Trabzonspor, and when Meireles came on vs Birmingham. Maybe there's a lesson there for Messers Lucas and Jovanovich, and especially for the gaffer.

the thing i hate most is how the manager makes it sound like we did well to get a point! We could have got more than a point had we not gone to park the frigging bus at Birmingham! I suppose it's too much to suggest that Lucas and Jova not play vs the scum, and we actually try taking the game to them.
------------Reina---------- --Kelly--Carra--Agger-Konch --Gerrard--Meireles--Cole-- --Babel---Torres--Pacheco--
Damn the torpedoes - full steam ahead! I'm sure we could out-score them.

it wasnt great to watch but its still early days and theres some positives we can take considering we had a few new faces in there.
konchesky had a good game but will still take time to gel defensively, merieles looked bright when he come on.
birmingham havent lost at home now for 17 games, they are a decent side. they pressed us and didnt give us any time on the ball. some players still dont look match fit yet, torres was off the pace, poulsen looked a bit slow and maxi was quite poor tbh.
its going to take time. i really think merieles is going to be a key player for us and we'll be playing some decent stuff after christmas. alright we won the champions league in rafa's first season but he still finished 5th in the league. if we are going to be anywhere neat the top four we need to win around half of our games... theres still a long long way to go yet

I actually thought Jovanovich was our "brightest" outfield player yesterday, fair enough he wasn't great, but at least he tried to inject some life into an awful performance by running with the ball. Thought he had zero support when he had a go and so it fizzled out.
Konchesky actually looked to have a solid enough game as well.

I seem to remember stating before the start of the season that their would be calls for Hodgsons head if we didn't start showing a massive improvement within the first few games, and I'm as good as correct.
