It has been very refreshing to listen to the last few press conferences with Roy. He has been very honest and not behind the door in any way about players, injuries, the squad in the future.

In fact he has had a little pop at Rafa about the squad and the numbers in it. Plus telling Ryan Babel he has 4 months to show his worth or be shipped on. I know he is a bit of a flake head but Babel has got serious talent and id hate to see him leave and fulfill it somewhere else before getting a good chance at us

I think given the circumstances that Roy walked into he has done exceptionally well. He kept our best players and brought in Cole, Raul, Poulsen and Konch, all of whom I think will improve us. And if you look at the opening fixtures he was handed it was really a baptism of fire. Arsenal home, City away, Birmingham away and United away next week so it tough to get the team playing the way he wants with fixtures like that.

When Roy walked in the team and the club were flat on the ground, but there has definitely been a lift under him but you can still see that on th pitch the confidence is not quite back yet, the let down of last season is definitely still evident in the play.

Tomorrows game is a big becuase very few teams are going to pick up 3points at Birmingham, if he can get the team to pick up 3 points then it will be a major win because like I said the likes of City and Spurs will probably drop points there.

In all I'm very happy. The senior players seem happy, the young players are going to get a chance which breeds healthy competition at the club. Still a little early to make any serious judgements but I happy with the way things are progressing.

has done a good job steadying a sinking ship, has tried his best given the rubbish he was left with the previous monster, just needs to be given time to see what he can do now.

6.5/10.

Obviously he is in a very difficult situation given the corrosive ownership issue which has to be resolved for the club to go forward. This is something he doesnt control however he does need to make sure he is willing to stand up to the management regarding the playing squad.

Delighted that Torres and Gerrard have stayed, glad Mascha has gone after his disgraceful behaviour.

Very happy with the signings of Meireles and Cole- though it'll be interesting to see how consistent he is.

Dont rate Poulsen and Konch leaves me indifferent but beggars cant be choosers. I hope Kelly players more.

Disappointed Aqua has been allowed to leave. He is fit at last and is a quality player that may well have forced himself into the team. I think this was probably a management decision to save money.

On the pitch I think we were very poor in the first half against Arsenal, poor all game against City and indifferent against WBA. Europa League games I'd described as indifferent to fairly good but nothing spectacular.

Therefore on the pitch, its obviously very early days, we've yet to see the team sparkle apart from a courageous second half against Arsenal.

Therefore 6.5 but as I said I just see he position as very difficult until we get rid of the Americans.

Role on 6 October, lets hope the RBS actually do something...

he deserves and needs all the time required to do his job , but some on here and other media outlets are not willing to give him a chance, for example if we don't win tomorrow some "so-called reds " will be calling for him to go like after the city game , and people blame the owners for killing LFC . GIVE ROY A BIG CHANCE .

Not seen any 'so called reds' calling for Roy's head, what are you talking about?

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Konchesky is an improvement on what we already had a left beck plus he knows the manager and the prem.

I too like his honesty. Too often, Rafa's press conferences were a major embarrassment.

The " Bring Rafa back " brigade will be in full swing tomorrow mate if we dont get the right result and it will be ten times worse next week if we get beat by United. Just get the feeling Roy is already in a no win situation with alot of supporters even at this early stage due to stupid fans devotion to the previous monster of a manager.

Im not a big fan of Lucas but saying his the main for our collapse last season is a little harsh! The were numerous reasons for it and to be honest Lucas is way down the list on reasons for our failure, that said he will be gone in January and I will be happy grin
