It is because people who support the club just cant afford to go to the games very often,I have friends from australia and canada who have been to anfield just once,they are terrific supporters but they just can't make it to often.Nobody doubts that the local support is the lifebllod of the club,of course it is.The club stands to make more REVENUE(thats how they see it)by getting fans from further a field to come to the games,so you should take your argument up on the official forum,not coming on here having a go at other supporters.

right so. then why are you still here? youre all talk. . Was that comment aimed at me? If so, this site could be a good site if people wernt to jump on peoples backs all the time just because they have a difference of opinion. Apart from that there is good discussions on the forums but you mods seem to revel in these types of arguements when someone has a difference of opinion and it's usually starts with one poster getting on someones back, then another then another an so on. And nothing ever gets done about it. I've backed red once on this site and now I'm an enemy cus I understand what he's saying. I'm not an extremist like someone has made me out to be. I'm far from it. I don't mind out of towners, I've identified the type of fan that I don't like, which to be honest isn't bad it's just my opinion, which is to be respected like I do with everyones on this site

the only thing that should matter is whether someone cares about the club - not where they come from or why they first came to support the club - if someone loves the club that is good enough for me

Red4life,
How many of the 'foreign' players play for LFC for the love of LFC or for the money/potential glory?
You may be fortunate enough to live in the City and have a season ticket(which cost you a few hundred quid) and can go to all the home games. I envy you.
On the other hand I'm in the west of Ireland, for me to get to a game is a whole other story. I have to select a game that our SUPPORTERS CLUB has sufficient tickets for, enter a draw for a ticket, book flights and accomadation(bear in mind that this is done months in advance) and because of European commitments/SKY TV the date of the fixture can be changed. This usually means getting to Liverpool on a Sat morning and staying till Monday. All in all for me to go to one match means hours of planning and a few hundred quid. And for you to say that if Liverpool lose that I dont give a sh1t because I dont have scouse accent is offensive. I have to put much more effort and almost as much expense(never mind the hassle from the misses and kids) to get to one game as you do for 19.( I'm generalising a bit, you may have to get time off work, have your own travelling expenses, etc. but you get my point.)
Which consortium of throughbred scousers would you prefer bought the club? And if they do will you be happy if they build a new stadium with a bigger capacity which allow more 'parasites' and 'tourists' like myself to attend.
Cherish what you have or is it:
Red4life = Bitter? AMEN!!

They probably have the mind-set of: "I'd rather see only 20,000 Scosuers attend games, than Anfield be full for every game with OOT's!"

Look we are going round in circles here I think there is a massive difference between the reason A person from Liverpool supports Liverpool or Everton and a person from outside the City who CHOOSES to support my Club, I say my club because it represents me and where I live and yes there is a Liver Bird on the Crest and they play home games in Liverpool for a reason, it represents the city and it's people.

I bet you never shared your toys as a child.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Im personally very proud that all our previous managers made this club so successful,that people all over the world choose to follow us, what viable reason could you give to not make these people welcome?
