I for one will be absolutley shocked if the pair of [oops] dont still own the club next year.

They have proved time and time again that they are in no rush to leave and will continue to bleed the club dry as much as possible.

If anyone can find a way to hang on those evil pair of [oops] will.. mad

the article is correct to a point. However RBS are not convinced by the security offered by Kop Holdings to service the debt(Openly said this). They gave them a year to sort it out through investment or sale. This did not happen. Therefore RBS appointed Barclays captital to find and negotiate the sale of the club. 1) to pay off the debt 2) to remove the risk of the debt not being fulfilled. To force this through they converted the loan to PIK type(high interest) in order for to force the sale of the club to be completed ASAP. by the 23rd of October Kop holdings will have to pay the loan in full as well as the PIK interest(thought to be upto 45mil)

Remember RBS are now having to operate whiter than white and cannot be seen taking risks with what essentially is government money.

TAX PAYERS MONEY !!!!

we bailed out the banks ... we own the financial services in the UK...

We'll just never get anything from it ...

Technically LFC owe us money as we bailed out the debt ... Im personally happy for them to keep my bit of money if they get rid of the yanks ...

been looking for this "interest freeze" since yesterday. Found nothing but a rumour making its way onto a few forums, probably by the same guy. Surely some sort of financial news would have picked up on such a big event? Seems unlikely now, was hopeful when I first saw it.
