I think that Roy has lost the plot completely. This job is to big for him and I will be surprised if he is still the LFC manager at Xmas 2010.
He has let Nemeth go and now SSN are reporting that Dalla Valle & Alex are also moving to Fulham. Nemeth & Dalla Valle were the 2 highly rated strikers for the future.
He wants to buy Paul Konseky from Fulham who is no better than Insua or Aurelio.
He buys a centre half Wilson when we have Carra, kelly, agger, skrtel, Ayala and the Greek already for those 2 positions.
He lets Aqualini go on loan to Juventus when the player is finally fit and we are lacking in midfield.
Another striker is a priority and we buy Joe Cole.
Roy is out of his depth at this level and we have another disaster of a season in store with him at the helm. The thing that I really like about this forum is that it doesn't discriminate people having a say despite their age or mentality!!!

I think he is a cunning fox, if this talk of Raul Meireles is correct, then we got a cracking player...Roy is wily and knows what he is doing!

why so negative all the time! just back the guy and let him build his own team! as for signings, wilson jova and shelvey all done before he came. and although konchesky mite not exacly be a world beater, hes better than what weve got. heard about rual merieles aswell, which would be a great signing!
so that means roys own official signings if all goes to plan would be: Cole Poulsen Konchesky Merieles
doesnt look all the bad too me considering weve got near on the same transfer kitty as blackpool!

And so far more quality has left the club than has come in. We are a worse team on paper now than before the transfer window.

roy is a good manager but he has no money so he couldn't really improve us could he, to already start blaming him is just ridiculous joe cole is a quality player he has inherited a team full of sh!t from the last manager and roy hasn't been given a war chest to go and improve the squad, he has to work with what he has got and he has some top players but he also has complete sh!te give the man time for the love of god knee-gerk reactions are just annoying think before talking or typing in future please

I think you're all wrong. Liverpool's problems cannot be attributed to any one man.
You all say Benitez left behind a poor squad. Yes, he bought some lemons, every manager does, but remind how much "war chest" he had to work with over the last 3 seasons? The Alonso saga wasn't his fault alone either, let's not forget; one might even remember that Alonso abandoned us much the same as Mascherano has, giving us too little time to get a quality replacement and therefore forcing us to take a shot in the dark that seems ultimately to have missed. Try not to forget that Rafa rebuilt our youth development from scratch; youth that all of us are beginning to appreciate already in the form of Kelly and Pachecho.
Roy too has had a lot of problems off the pitch and not much time on it to get his bearings or that of the squad. He doesn't have the funds to buy quality stock, no one will want to play second fiddle to Torres, and Mascherano left us without so much as a **** you 3 days before the end of the transfer window. So far Roy has only made one serious error with the formation for the City game, and that may have been largely assisted by our West Ham reject Argentinian captain. But for some sun leading to an uncharacteristic error by Pepe we would have won all 5 of our other games this season. Is that really "lost the plot" material? I think not.
I gave him some stick on these forums for Monday, because 3-0 is a bad loss no matter how you look at it, but so far he's done alright by me. I'm sure he will go from strength to strength.
So take a chill pill and enjoy some football; it's a long way to May.

Far far too much impatience amongst some fans. Just settle back and enjoy the next few months, yes all the lows (very few hopefully) as well as the highs. BTW. We are the only team to have taken points away from the team currently (at this time) heading the Prem.

Rafa spent plenty these last three seasons - he bought Johnson and Aquilani last year for £37m. but left us desperately short up front.
Now Roy is in and we're still in the same predicament. Midfielders are coming in and out at pace but no-one new up front. If we get stuck with NGog as our only option we've got no chance of getting back in the CL. He misses 19 out of 20 chances he gets presented with and then grins as he walks away.
It's nearly three years now since we sold Keane and nobody has come in to replace him. Depressing.
