2 players that i think for the time being would benefit the squad. I don't think Javier was happy on Merseyside so its better he left really.

Konchesky will be professional and fill the left side fine, still dont get why we dont just buy Salcido for a cheaper price.

Zamora is not coming, he would cost 7-10m and his not worth it. Zamora can not do a job for us, he can barely carry out a job on the toilet let alone in a liverpool shirt!

Konchesky fits in with the home grown rule quota.

i like konchesky very very good left foot and he is clearly better than aurelio and insua as for zamora he is where he belongs and also whould he be able to be as good as he has been lately if he wasn't playing every minute of every game i think not it's hard being a back up striker to someone like nando

Diarra for a nominal fee is the best option to replace Masch. Salcido would be better option than Konchesky. And Zamora would be a decent option but I would like Fernando Llorente from Bilbao to come to partner Torres.

Why, in your opinion, would Salcido be a better option than Konchesky, other than price?

salcido is more experienced at european level he can play centre back and left midfield so maybe a bit more versatile but i would still prefer konchesky home grown and he is used to the PL

More and more teams will have to start buying English players because of the home-grown rule, (which will only get stricter) and the sooner we adopt that policy the better.

The fact that in a contest between a foreigner who's untested at Premier League level and a solid English defender we are choosing the latter should be applauded.
