The way forward ? or is it too much of a risk i mean if we was to scrap players like kuyt skrtel etc and bring in ayala and amoo and mavinga shelvey would we be happy to risk a season or 2 in the europa league with a very young team, to maybe in 3/4 years have a team that has matured together and are a real team with top players because i have no doubt that kelly pacheco shelvey ayala amoo sterling will be top players a couple may even turn out world-class players and we also have mavinga robinson coates gulasci wilson ince who will be good/very good players cause i am sick of kuyt jovanovic skrtel soto insua LUCAS playing for us they are just terrible footballers the youngsters can't be any worse and at least a young lad would learn from a sh!tty performance but at the minute we have to just accept lucas will be cr@p kuyt and jovanovic will never go passed the full-back insua will get done up like a kipper on multiply occasions our youngsters will destroy this team in 3 years

urgh, I know I'll get some rubish comment with 'fan' blasted at me for not being a true one blah blah blah but I honestly don't know what's worse, the people who think people like Kuyt and Lucas should be heralded for being good servants without being good footballers or the people who actually think if we stuck pacheco et al into a game we would still be in the premiership next season! No team does that, they all blood their youth, why do they do it like that, cause it is the only way that works. People who didnt get a game under rafa and not getting a game now, why? Because they don't show enough in training. This shove all the youngsters in will make us finish below midtable, our senior players are not internationals for nothing. Ridiculous. One youngster a year making it only happens at barca, so 1 every 2 years would be fantastic, you hand pick them and u blood them carefully.

agree with some comments both house and mybloodisred. however on the blooding youths part, shelvey doesnt need this. the guy has 50 games under his belt in the championship and is only 18. he needs playing and will quickly become a great powefull box to box midfielder for us. fabregas and rooney were playing at his age, so why not give this guy whos already got top level expierence under his belt a game?

i know i listed quite a few youngsters but i didnt mean playing them all every week but i think 3/4 should be in every match day squad pacheco and ayala, kelly should be regular-ish in the starting 11 it was a bit of a rant because after last season i hate kuyt and lucas, skrtel they are awful and i am sick of them playing for us

In case you hadn't notice they are selling off our young talent. Mavinga is the latest to say he will be gone in January. Nemeth was told by the Liverpool management that they had to sell him because they are short of cash. Players own statements. The assett stripping as been going on for a while now but they are careful who they sell not to make a fuss.

This is a similar situatin to Arsenal 5 years ago. After they sold off some of their great players like henry.pires, viera etc, they turned to their youth and waited until their players matured and turned into a force to be rekoned with. However, after all this waiting, would liverpool fans want to wait a longer 3-5 years for their youngsters to grow into a great team? I'm not so sure about that. It would be a great opportunity and we may stumble on a few world class youngsters. I think playing these young guys in the Europa group stages would help them alot improving their game and impressing the manager.
