merge if you wish but i thought I would start a new thread with this, because I think this is bang on the money.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=817189&sec=england&cc=3436

"Liverpool suspect that the potential new owners are waiting to grab the club for a knock-down price when the Royal Bank of Scotland faces the prospect of selling the club themselves after the October 6 deadline - when the bank's £237 million loan has to be repaid." EXACTLY.

"If the name of the prospective buyer comes out before the deal is done then probably it is never going to be done." EXACTLY. Our future buyer will be someone we haven't heard of yet/ unknown to us at this point in time.

LOL has keith harris ever actually made a successful takeover of any club ???

His name seems to pop up evverytime a football club is up for sale and then 10 days later hes the laughing stock of the business world because he's ballsed it up yet again.

I personally wont b paying any attention to this "takeover bid" if he is the one fronting it.

Er- have I got this all wrong ? Of course any potential buyer wants to get the Club as cheaply as possible. Of course they're going to hold back if they think the price will drop.

That will be bad news for H and G but I shall not lie awake at night worrying about that prospect. If the buyer has to pony up less to buy the club, that leaves more for a stadium or transfers, does it not ?

Maybe, but it justs leaves us all in limbo for the time being and also gives ren & stimpy time to find some refinancing,as remote a chance of that happening is, it still scares the [oops] out of me.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

The suggestion of refinancing is [oops].

It is a nice leak/ploy by H and G to keep bids high and before the deadline, because they know they are screwed otherwise. Once October hits they will be in trouble.

My question is why announce a refinancing plan while your trying to sell the club? There can only be one reason for it, to make any bidders think that H and G aren't as desperate as they are. Mark my words, there is no plan to refinance, I don't care what the papers say.
