we can't give him the benefit of the doubt anymore,at best he's a squad player.
how long has he had to prove himself?,a lot longer than others

Too many petty fouls, too many negative passes, no ambition, 1 tempo, just not good enough for prem neva mind LFC!!!
But he aint alone in our squad!!

Lucas Leiva is, beyond a shadow of doubt, the worst player I've ever seen in the 30+ years I have been a die-hard fan. That's obviously making allowances for the bargain basement gambles given limited appearances in League Cup games over the years (Nick Tanner springs immediately to mind).
To anyone who defends him - what qualities do you claim he has and where is the evidence for your belief?
The guy simply plagues our club, I don't for one minute believe he intends to be cr@p but he has been dragging us down for three full seasons now and it's time to terminate his contract whatever compensation we must pay. Hopefully we can send a bill to a certain Spanish waiter in Milan. Why isn't Benitez remotely interested in signing Lucas now, after constantly selecting him ahead of Masch when at Anfield? Come to think of it, why isn't ANYONE worthy of note interested in signing Lucas?
Roy Hodgson has won a lot of admiration from me already, if he ships Lucas out he will be an instant fecking hero!!!

we know its not just lucas but he was even our weak link when we actually finished 2nd

Just a quick one for Poolie,
Thanks for your concern re my football knowledge and if I ever played the game, for your info I played the game to semi pro level in the West Country before leaving for Spain and my extended family (father,Uncle etc..) not only played pro football but also managed locally for years. I can assure you I know plenty.
Just because I don`t go to Anfield often doesn`t mean I don`t know what I`m talking about, believe me when I was last there against Fulham last season the amount of crazy spoutings from people around us was unbelievable, not sure if they had ever seen a game of football before though.?
Also if you would like to re-read my post i said I am not saying he is a good/bad player not Lucas is a good player, I think that he has not played to his potential since arriving and Rafa may have been a reason for this, no more.

ask the players what they think about Lucas? I have asked Carra, sammy Lee and Alex Miller in recent years(I am linked into football acadamies)about him and they all say he is a players player. because he does not do the dramatic or the extravagant he is not liked by fans is the belief. (The other comment was that some are ignorant).Yet all the players really like him because he never hides, has good control, two footed and is super fit. I respect those who offer a different opinion but just to rant for the sake of it in order to get your own way has becomse tiresome.
