emp you are the last person on here who should be getting on at people for not supporting the manager but you are right roy deserves his chance and hopefully with his own players.... the one thing he as to take the blame for today is the tactics they were very poor....

anyone who was chanting Rafa last night was NOT a supporter of LFC as far as I am concerned - and for those who did you should be ashamed of themselves!

If it was LFC fans then they can't really call themselves LFC fans. Its disgraceful. Rafa has gone like it or not so lets support the current man. As emp says, he picked a team with none of his own players in it. Its all Rafa and thats why it was [oops]!

Nothing wrong with it. Rafa was a fantastic manager who will be sorely missed. We also chanted Daglish ffs. We now have a mid-table manager, whom I support 100%, so get used to it. Rafa lifs his first cup of the season and we've been battered by a far better team, that's reality now. You should be carefull what you wish for smirk

hi,

I am Spanish and I think Rafa is one the best managers in the world. He made me really happy in the last 5 years. I won´t forget nights like Istanbul and Cardiff.

On the other hand, I have supported this team with Rafa, Houlier, Moran, Souness, Dalglish.. and all of them are in heart.

But now Rafa is not in our team.. so nowdays my manager is Roy. And I will support Roy.
But I won´t never forget Rafa.

the problem with Roy is that he is not very good. Nothing in his past suggests that at 62 he has suddenly earned the right to manage a big club.

Good luck to him - but he is out of depth. Early days of course - but going two up front against a City team that always loads midfield was daft.

Benitez is a far better manager - but allowed himself become too distracted by matters he could not really control.

The truth is we are in serious trouble - and Roy Hodgson is not going to be able to do much if anything about it.

Short of Alonso, this is still largely the squad that finished runners up under Rafa and perfromed admirably in European Cup each season. Sadly the likes of Carra and Gerrard are seriously diminished - and the squad has not been built on last season and this season so far.
