Reina - 7 (nothing to do but pulled off a great save)
Kelly - 7 (one for the future)
Carragher - 7 (led by example)
Greek - 6 (got caught on his heels a fews times)
Aureilo - 6 (nothing exciting)
Maxi - 6 (tried but again nothing exciting)
Poulsen - 6 (showed effort but not match fit i reckon)
Lucas - 6 (squad player at best, no world beater)
Jovonaic - 7 (like his attitude and commitment, shame cant spell his name)
Cole - 7 (tried and can see him being a good for us)
Babel - 7 (no service but well taken goal)

cole a 7? he was awful, tried hard but his touch was poor, his passing was wayward and he made no threatening runs at all - they coped with him very easily and almost every one of our attacks broke down at him ....... and he missed the pen - if it wasn't for the pass to set up babel he would have done nothing positive for the team at all tonight

Cole looked desperate to make an impression after the weekend but made too big a deal of it.

i agree mate ...... he needs to settle down a bit, trying too hard is as bad as not trying at all sometimes

he will do better with a full squad,i hope.

That aqua is a bloody mystery.

Think you rated everyone a bit too high there. If it is for the whole game, I don't think anyone deserved a 7 cept maybe reina for the good save. Babel was poor until a great run and finish. Poulsen, game of two halves really, awful in the first half, pretty good in the second. Aurelio worst player on the pitch in my opinion, really awful tonight in both attack and most of the time defence. One more quick note for kelly, whilst not a 7 for me, looked solid. And you didn't hear his name much which is a good sign for a defender.

pretty accurate summary,not to worried about this competition tbh,if we do well in it-good,if we don't- ah well,4th spot is the main concern this season if possible.

Poulsen - 6.5 had his goal stood a 7, let him off his bad 1st half.
Lucas - 6
Jovanovic - 6.5 like him positive player and seemingly very competitive
Cole - 6.5 trying too hard, good ball for the goal
Babel - 6.5 good finish, had he not scored tho id have given him a 5 or 4

We were poor in the 1st half and min required standard in the 2nd. Anyone know why Aqua isnt getting a game?

Reina 7- pulled is out the [oops] with that save shows why he's one of the best on the world

Kelly 6 - looked solid, didn't venture forward as much as he did in his last outing

aurelio 6 - looked solid, gave the ball away a few times

Greek 7 - good presence at the back, had a good chance to score, didn't look troubled to me

Carra 6- distribution poor as ever, solid as ever

maxi 6 - didn't offer much IMO can't beat a player or cross

Lucas 6- poor as always, not got the speed or strength to break forward to cause a threat, only decent thing was gettin the pen

poulsen 6 - put himself about broke up the play and just gave it simple

jovanovic 8 - worked hard never looked like loosing the ball, linked well with torres in the 2nd half and was always involved in the play

Cole 7- assist to babel and missed a pen, needs to get involved in the game
more and up his tempo

babel 6 - apart from scoring, never offered the team much, lack of movement to get into positions to get the ball and no willingness to work for the team ie pressing. Had his chance upfront tonight and I'd rather have ngog all day than that waste of space

subs-

torres 7- looked to take the game to them, couple of shots at goal, should of taken the pen for me

ngog 6- didn't do to much to affect the game not on long enough

i think poulsen showed that he will offer the team more than lucas ever will do. he's stronger and looked more comfortable with the ball.

cole is trying hard. he seems very eager to make an impression and it was a pity that he didn't score from that penalty.

good to see torres get 45 minutes. hopefully he can be ready to start the game on monday. jova shows very good attitude and had a decent game.

still very early on in the season and im confident that we will get beter and better the longer the season goes.
