Congrats to the lad, For those who didnt see , our very own Martin Kelly came off the bench and scored in his debut for England today. Really stoked for the lad and im sure hes got a big future for Liverpool and England

I´ve always thought he is solid on the pitch. Must say he looks much more settled out there than for instance Pacheco and Spearing.

Kelly is better defensively than Glen Johnson and I hope that he gets opportunities not only in the cups but also in some of the league games.

Kelly will get his chance, no doubt. we need depth. we need two players for every position.

Johnson can be pushed further up the pitch if we had some problems on the wings, while having a good backup for him. he's more of a wingback than a fullback to me.

Kelly on the other hand is a real fullback. good at defending, good going forward, and delivers really good crosses (his crosses are better than Johnson's)
