A lot has been made about the players we are about to sign and leave. But what about the players we have, in particular our young guns.

Assuming, Alonso and Mascherano remain with the club and we reinforce our strike force and other areas, there is a big chance we will be in the running for many titles next season. That would mean that we might have to use the youngsters in some of the lesser important matches.

I am all for throwing these youngsters into the deep end. I stand by the old adage "if you're good enough, you're old enough". Plessis played a blinder at Arsenal in his first game and mind ya, the Emirates is not a easy run out for any team in the world.

Much has been written about Rafa's rotation policy. this rotation policy was in fact discounted and devalued by many a journalist during our charge up the table in the final stages. Rafa will always rotate and that is something we have to accept. What i really would love to see if he left some starlets on the bench in matches. Slur Alex took a chance with Macheda and he won them 4 points in 2 matches. Wenger adores Jack Wilshire and he is a real star in the making.

Who do we have?

I for one would like to see Lauri Della Vella, David Amoo, Jesus and Pacheco on the bench and coming on for experience in matches where we are cruising. The Reserves and League Cup are good places to start but you need to test these players in the Premiership and see if they can hold their own. Put them in hot water and see if they come good. Keep giving them opportunities to make their mark and stake their claim.

Kate, the future of our club is in our young ones. If the young guns can step up and relieve of the pressure on the first team, it would be beneficial to the club as we challenge for honors on all fronts.

I am sure with Segun at the helm we will be seeing more spanish youngsters at Melwood.

Spearing will def get a run and maybe Pacheco. Alot will depend on if Rafa perseveres with Ngog and El Zhar.

It all depends on their development. I was very impressed with Insua last season... he's going to be pushing for that LB spot this year. But remember, he's been on the books for a while and the season before last only played a couple of games - so this will be his THIRD season of first team football.

It was Plessis', Spearing and N'Gog's first season last year so hopefully they will all mature to be good players. I think it is fair to say that we don't have any total world-beaters coming through (a-la Michael Owen and Stevie G), but hopefully these lot will mature into top-class players.

Insua is now certain to start more often after Aurelio hurt his knee and will be out for about 4-6 months.

I am come to expect that some players are just made of tissue paper.

Spearing needs to be given more of a run. I think he should be in the side before El Zhar.

spearing and el zhar play completely different positions - el zhar gets in coz we are short of right sided attacking players

So you don't think they could put spearing on the right? Is he only a central mid player?
