Chill and relax. I am positive that the club is going in the right direction. 1st: Rafa was X. 2nd: JC joined us 3rd: Gerrard decided to stay 4th: Torres too decided to stay 5th: probably a takeover and so on... Its good that we dont jump the gun buying F@#k up strikers that are available in the market. We can get 10 Eggnog. He will just probably be running and jumping in the field with no end product and will act as though he lost his dog whenever he misses a sitter! Yes we got no money to begin with. Thats why we need a new owner to atleast purchase 3 more quality players that will give a GO at the opponent and will not rely solely on Torres and Gerrard for goals.

Are you a Manc Red?
Torres missed only only 20 games in 6 seasons at Athletico, played 33 in his first season with us and 20 odd in the past 2 seasons. Personally I think the guy needs a break - keep him for the league only until after Christmas so that he can get a decent break between games.
Wish people on here would get real Fernanado Torres has chronic injury problems, if you look at his record of playing for Liverpool his games record is getting worse each passing season and that a fact you can check up on. The man just cant stay fit no matter how good he may or may not be on a football pitch, as soon as one injury clears up another one starts. I just people on here would take off there rose tinted glasses and just listen to this sense, we in our current position as we speak have an injury prone Torres and a young inexperienced Ngog, we desperately need in my opinion at least another two forwards to carry us throughout a season, we have no money to but these forwards so what else can we do but cash in on the lame duck who cant be relied upon while we can still get serious money for him. Fernando Torres will not be with us next season if he stay this one whatever happens, we all know he will be off somewhere else, when he has another injury prone season again probably playing less games this season than last then the likes of City and Chelsea are going to twig he's a crock and we wont get as much for him. This is common sense, for all those people saying just play him in league games, do you people really take yourselves serious, how on earth can we possibly afford to leave out any forward never mind Torres in our current position with only Ngog and possibly one other forward if we do sign him. Get shut of this crock while we can still get money for him and start realising the club is a business not a football club and you have to do what is right to make the business profitable and successful in order to make money, this is not a mank speaking but a loyal fan and season ticket holder for the last 24 years but is now a Liverpool football club customer or client.
go find a bridge and launch yourself off it
Read the facts and weep sucka...

Fernando Torres has been at Anfield for three seasons.
In 2007-2008 he played in 46 games of 59 fixtures. thats a 78 per cent record.
The following season 2008 - 2009 it dipped to 69 per cent - he played in just 38 of Liverpool's 55 fixtures.
Last season 2009 - 2010 Torres numbers got even worse. He played in just a paltry 32 matches out of a club total of 56. Thats just 57 per cent.
In Spain during his days with Athletico Madrid there were already concerns about Torres's injury problems. Those problems appear to be getting worse and worse season by season.

With if all goes according to plan we play more games this season than in our entire history the drain on this lame duck will be more intense than ever, we have already started our season and the Premier league less than a couple of weeks away and Torres is still on the treatment table, with no pre season training or matches behind him, he already he looks a lost cause. People need to realise we are no longer a football club but a business and players like this in our current plight are a hindrance and need to be cut free, people need to realise even poor old Fabio Aurelio played more games than this feller last season which says it all, and we have already tried to get shut of Fabio who is nowhere near the same drain. Unfortunately Torres is another Michael Owen injury wise alongside other crocks like Redknapp, Ledley King, Kieron Dyer and Darren Anderton all great players but players whose legs were lame and could'nt stand up to the demands of the Premier league. If you fans stopped thinking with your hearts instead of your brains you will see what I am saying makes perfect sens and I will be reminding you all about this each time this crock breaks down this season which will start after five or six games of his comeback, you mark my words.

Sit back and ask yourself why has he been injured a lot the past couple of seasons, anyone with half a brain will know the answers. And to be honest if he plays 35 games and scores 25 odd goals id be happy which is about the ratio he scores at.

Ok using my brain, Torres is integral to Liverpool not just on the pitch but off it too. Which PL Player is the popular name on replica PL shirts? Torres! He is one the biggest names in business and adored all the Middle and East Asia. Its also clear that Torres is important to sale of the club, the value of which will drop is Torres leaves.

On the pitch you can see that every player is lifted when Torres is around, he got knackered last year becuase Rafa played him wrong and did not allow him to recover.

79 appearance 56 goals, find me another striker that can do that for us. Even though he only played 32 times last year he scored 22 goals, thats more than most strikers manager with a full season.

Players want to come to us because the likes of Gerrard and Torres are at the club. Get rid of those and we're not so attractive.

I agree Torres is injury prone but hopefully the new medical guys will do their job and keep him fit. Also if Roys does his job we wont be so reliant on Torres which will relieve the pressure from him.

Get rid of Torres my ass.

Your wrong, Red4life lives in the real world unlike you do am afraid. I have just provided you with facts which prove Fernando Torres is getting worse by the season injury wise, yet you still argue with some hollow facts which mean nothing. The simple reason they mean nothing is because if you put your hand on your heart you have to admit that you can not rely on Fernando Torres and once that happens there is absolutely no point in keeping any player like that, yes he does have a tremendos games to goals ratio but whats the point if you dont have him scoring when you need him most. People talk about his commitment to the club well for me it was there to see at the end of last season when he decided he wanted to have his operation after the Benfica game and sacrifice the Semi finals of the Europa league and also a slim outside chance of finishing in a Champions league place, he done this in order to play for his country in the World Cup, which means he put country before club, thats a big no no in my book. People are still saying he loves the club because of what he said today but if you read between the lines it's obvious he thinks new investment is coming in and thats the only reason he is staying not because he loves the club and certainly because of any love for fans, you poor diluded people.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Great memory you have there bud , Torres wanted to play on till the end of the season,Medical Staff instructed him to have the op otherwise WC would definately be out of the question and so would at least the first month of this season. So If you ( and thank god you aint ) had any say in how our club runs its business , u'd sell Torres for lets say 50m. Fans go nuts, attendences drop , shirt sales go out the window, endorsements and sponsorships go out the window, value of the club drops around 100m at least , players heads drop when they see assets sold, other teams get a lift seeing our best players leave. hahaha youd leave the club in shambles , whether hes injured for 20 games of the season or not hes huge to this club on and off the field. Like i said if he plays 40 games scores 25-30 goals i wont be complaining and you wont find many strikers that can achieve that.
