Lads,
The rumours about Figueroa, Salcido, Remy, Arda Turan and every other player we have been linked with recently have all gone quiet in the last week or so. Do we have any information about what is happening? If certain players are deffo coming / in the pipline or just waiting ? Or is there maybea takeover in the wings, waiting to happen?

Wolf. we've been linked with that many players recently its hard to believe any of them, so i guess its just a case of waiting til its official, but with the new season just 2 weeks away something must be in the pipeline as we are still short at LB and striker!!

Well i wouldnt mind if we went quiet for 2 weeks and then landed Turan, Remy, Figueroa in the final day.

i think once insua agree's personal terms with Florentina its likely we'll make some concrete offers for a left back, then with the rest of the cash pursue the next target. you wouldnt go sign a striker or a winger spend all of your transfer kitty then to see a deal with insua breakdown after he's already told you he wants to leave. you have to play it safe with the situation we're in.
after that its a waiting game on mascherano's deal. hodgson has said he'd like to bring a few more players in, i'd expect 3 more signings at least and a few more players sold too.
remember, the window doesn't offically close til the 1st september, so theres a good 4 and a half weeks to go yet.
also when you look at the transfers in the prem its really quiet, nobody seems to be spending apart from man city. theres a lack of movement this season and the press are obviously going to exploit that a bit, they have to sell their stories at the end of the day. im sure once a few teams offload some players then we'll start to see a bit more activity. as for the man city scrap head, people will leave it til the very last minute so they can get the cheapest deal out of shitty when thyre desperate.

Totally agree, i think alot of our targets are dependant on the sale of masch!!, as you mention i think we will sign 3 players, LB/CM (replace masch) and quality striker!
