I agree, we don't need Masc - he is touted as the best in his position and whilst he is a great tackler he cannot find a pass longer than a few yards and he can't shoot - there are plenty of more rounded midfielders around who are also strong in the tackle.

petrov is a good player but in my opinion there are better options around, especially considering his age. wouldn't mind if we signed him for £6m or so though...

Why spend 6m on Petrov when Flamini is available for around 5m? His only 27 and we know he can do it in the PL. Can play full back too.

Yes he can. Double swoop then, Pleb and Flamini for 8-9m. Do we really need Pleb though? I would be happy with just Flamini.

According to givemefootball.com we have been linked with Marek Hamsik from Napoli. Not sure how reliable the source is, but he is regarded as one of the best young midfielders around. I would love to see him in the squad. Not sure weather he would be a replacement for Masch though, he is a more attack minded player. Apparently Napoli want 30-50 million euros for him.

wow, classy player, i watched him closely a the world cup he was one of their best players, he got thrown in at DM against holland though i think it was, pointless.

he would be a huge signing for us, dont think hes worth that kind of money but he will deffo be one for the future. i think naturally he's a central player. from what i've heard he thought that his performances in the world cup would have a huge club come in for him this summer, apparently he's waiting on a big move to the prem or la liga.

he's a great player but can't see him coming to anfield. but a swap with aquilani going the other way would have been great...
