Ok no offence, but why is this even a topic? We have no left backs. Yes, Agger can play their, but that isn't his stongest position. He is a Center Back. I just can't see Agger sprinting down the wing crossing the ball in. We need at least one out and out Left Back like Figueroa.

I respect your opinion like I do with everyone but surely a left back is a must, agger is a ball playing centre half likes to play through the middle linking up the play between defence and attack, we'd lose that without him there using skrtel.

When he did play left back he didn't make many overlapping runs and seemed hesitant in doing so. I no he's got a cracking shot on him but I've not seen much evidence he can cross a good ball whilst running at speed. I heard on lfc tv one of the fans talking about agger at left back an I agree with him, the speed of thought and skill is almost near to a left winger, got to get the ball out of your feet almost instantly agger just seems not that quick enough imo

what do you mean why is this topic, where else am i going to say it. lol. point is like almost everything else posted on here where just speculating. just thought that maybe with young joining as roy asked agger if he'll be happy to do a job considering our transfer budget.. we can all name left backs but who can we afford, mmmmmmmm oh thats right luke young......

No I agree - positionally he was poor throughout his career really but he did score a great goal

i think he was the best left back we have had in the last 10/15yrs. he was ok at defending, ok position wise, gr8 stamina, a bit of pace and one hell of a left foot on him. he was one of my favourite players. i couldnt see why we got rid of him, its not like we got alot of money. i would love to see him back but i havent been following roma so dont know what his form has been like. his better then most of the left backs we have been linked to

I said why is it a topic because it is are priority to get a left back, even Hodgson said that himself. In my opinion Figueroa would be the ideal starter, with Young as a decent back up. I can see Agger playing as are starting CB, not LB, unless we absolutely have to.

not saying its going to happen emp just cant see who where going to bring in. for me id be happy with agger if they are our only chioces but lets hope we do sign another LB because i dont want to pin my hopes on young playing there all season

what is wrong with mavinga? he has looked damn good for the french u19s and wilson can be back up with agger as back up back up

why go back for riise? thats taking a step a backwards. We might as well get roy evans in as manager and ask sammy lee to play centre mid, move on...
