Joking apart, he was and still is infinitely superior to Aurelio, Insua and Dossena. Nothing riles me more than so-called LFC fans criticising the guy (these "fans" are almost exclusively immature teenage adolescents). He gave us several years of fantastic service, many unforgettable memories and is a supreme athlete. I'd prefer him aged 50 over the three mentioned above. As stated on another post, Aurelio is a nice guy and I shall remember the fantastic free kicks against Scum and Chelsea, but not in the same league as Johnny Rockets.

Seriously, in a choice between him and Young, we all know who we'd take. He's a lot better than he was given credit for.

look think we can all agree that luke young is probably at best a decent squad player but what about agger playing there. didnt do much wrong when tried out there last season and with skirtel and the arrival of wilson could hodgson be thinking this... i think agger could do a job there he is quick, good crosser, comfortable in control and can defend..

of course we need one...figueroa is my prefered choice
