Whats everyones thoughts? Joe Cole and Steven Gerrard in the engine room?

I like it. Ive always liked Stevie playing that deeper midfield role like a playmaker. Joe Cole just infront. With Aqua on the bench for the J.C role and Lucas on the bench for the Stevie role.

Which would meen cash from the masch sale could be put foward to a foward to support Torres?

If we sign Doyle as back up for Torres and Duff as a first choice winger we may as well give up now. Sorry Emp but those guys will strike fear into no one except the giant hard on you have for them and send all the wrong messages.

Can`t remember if you are one of the I hate Lucas brigade but all of these are in the same bracket if not lower quality. If this is what we can hope for we will struggle for the Europa next year, no thanks.

The thing is people, i am sure Stevie prefers to play just behind Torres. Just like he did under Benitez. Aniway, here is my take. Still hoping Arda will join us.

the last season I prayed so many times for that option. Due to Lucas did a very bad season.. so one solution was Javier and Steven on the midfield... but Rafa only used this option 2 or 3 times.
But.. have you thought about our central spine?
I mean the line between the keeper and the main striker.
We have Pepe on the net, Carra/Skertel/Ager as full back options. then Joe with Steve in midfield. Then Aqua between the middfield and the striker.. and Fernando as Striker.

NONE.. I repeat NONE team in the world have a similar players in that position. I repeat none.

then we have Glen on the right deffending... Just kuyt or Milan on the right too. Plus another options like Babbel, Even Pacheco.. because Pacheco could play in the right too.

what do you think about my "crazy" ideas??
