personally i think it was a bit of a stupid question to ask in the 1st place( dont mean to be nasty). all you have to do is look at our striking options and you will get the answer.
whats the next thread, do we need new owners or a new stadium.

you give them a few games a season (not anywhere near as many as ngog got last season) let em get a couple of goals under their belt then let one of the newly promoted sides take them on loan.

together with what we have now to spend ,after mash, degen and el zhar are sold we'll have 40-45m allup to spend id assume. We need 4 players with that. 7m will be on figueroa , then who knows , hopefully 15m on arda , 12m banega or parker , that leaves 10m on a striker which doesnt buy much these days.

pacheco is better than almost every striker out there - i am sick of all this crap about them being too young - it never seemed to be a problem for barca picking up trophy after trophy while playing kids ..... how many premier league strikers have pacheco's quality?? torres, rooney, drogba, van persie ..... then i am struggling to think of any decent ones at all ..... all you lot want to do is buy yet another no mark to block the route to first team footie of dalle valle and pacheco .... no wonder english football is in such a mess with the fans expecting every team to buy players rather than risk giving the kids a chance

This is such a bad shout for a post - did you watch us crumble last season as our only main striker was injured. Do we want to do this again? I am sorry can we not rely on one of rafa's infamous top quality free signings (jovanovic) to claw us through. Who hs already is being pitted as a left winger. If we don't by a striker i guarentee that we will not be in the top 8.

I gotta agree to have one quality striker then a bunch of kids is ludicris , its one thing giving the kids a chance which i am all for but to have only them as backup is beyond a joke. Imagine when Torres is injured and our front line is Ngog and pacheco or Ngog and dalle valle , god help us. We need to buy a quality striker to play with Torres end of story. We are gonna play 60 games this season , the front 2 are not gonna be available for all them 60 so dont worry therell be plenty of game time for the pachecos and dalle valle's this season under Roy no worries at all.

Pacheco, use him or lose him. He is now getting some real limelight due to his exploits for Spain U19s and will be thinking it's time he got his chance and I have to agree. I was very annoyed when Rafa continually left him out last year when we were so light up front.

If he'd been playing under Arsen Wenger, he'd probably be established in the first team by now. Now he is getting his recognition and if Liverpool don't act on it, he will rightly think he might be better off elsewhere and there will be no shortage of takers I'm sure.

100% we need another striker. Ngog is not good enough to play for Liverpool against teams that want 10 men behind the ball. Same goes for babel unless the game is open enough for him to exploit space with his pace he's knakered. Jovanovic is untried and kuyt I feel has had his prime 2 seasons ago when we finished 2nd and altho he was played to many as out of position he ain't good enough to play as an out an out striker.

Strikers are hard to find which are able to make the difference at Liverpool. Look at darren bent 20 odd leage goals last year IMO he'd struggle because teams don't play against Sunderland like they do against liverpool. Weve looked at the potential of ngog and babel so it's time to give pacheco a chance and get someone in who's gona get a min of 15 goals to take the work load off torres

do younot think it's putting to much pressure to throw youngsters in at the deep end. I no I've said pacheco deserves chances but only as sub appearences when where 2 maybe 3 nil up and the games wrapped up. If it doesn't work out when you put to much pressure on them to perform then where the 1st to call for the managers head and saying the players shat cus he couldn't perform at the highest level

To extent your right but there is no point putting them on only when we're 2 or 3-0 up, they wont learn anything that way. Pach is more than good enough to come on and turn a game for us. The problem will come if we have to rely soley on Pach. We need experienced players so that the young players dont have it all put on them.
