Kevin Doyle sure is a classy player, would fit nice into the squad, but Wolves would probably ask for too much, if hes anything less than 10mil, i say we make the move, if anything more i say we dont, and go for a proven striker. Dzeko is just that, if we could land him at about 20mil i say we go for it, but im thinking Wolfsburg is trying to push for more. Luis Fabiano is also looking to leave Sevilla, Spurs are looking at him, but i say we swoop in and at least try to push for a negoiation.
On VDV, hes all smoke and mirrors i say, maybe cuz he hasnt had consistent playing time at Real so he fell off a little same thing goes for Huntelaar at Milan, so i say a no go, lets go for players that are in top form!
Edin Dzeko is a quality player if we had the cash him or Aguero would be my number one priority. but i think Wolfsburg are holding out for the clause in his contract to be activated, i think its something around the £30m to £35m mark, i think thats why city have drawn their attention to Balotelli at around £23m.
as for Van der Vaart and Hunterlaar, these are players that are out of favour (in the same boat as Joe Cole) and thats how we can attract them cos we can assure they get a game every week and their very much within our price range. we all wanna see top class signings but you gotta draw the line somewhere.
I don't think we need VDV unless we offload aqua or roy plans to play cole and gerrard on the wings lol.
