Just been thinking about are potential squad for the new season, and taking into account the rumours flying round about possible transfers for aguero or forlan due to purslow apparently being in spain purs(uing) these signings. Alot has been made of this, saying wheres the money coming from and its thickle fans wishful thinking, but, why not.

Read on here that we have a potential transfer budget due of 19 odd million due to reira, insua been sold or in the process of bein sold. Add that to a potential of £25-30 for mascherano and you have a total of £44-49m. Surely with that amount of money we could give atletico madrid a large lump sum of cash and pay the rest off in instalments and buy a decent left back an maybe even a CM.
Now I no ppl will question why av put gerrard in with lucas in dm, reason being he can play in that position, and as hes 30 years old he aint going to be the same player he was when he was younger. I remember united doing this with keane, he was a box to box player and with age dropped back to a more of a defensive mid player, not so much doing the dirty work but realising he aint got the legs to be doing what he did, just holding his position and dictating the play which we all no stevie can do if given the chance to play centre mid.
