There is no doubt that one gets that feeling of a new era about to dawn upon the Club - i was interested in Roy's statement that what will also needed is the return to the fantastic atmosphere that was once Anfield. Too many occassions in recent years that the 'Anfield of old' was only evident on an 'occassion' rather than the norm so the home supporters have a great part to play in this revitalised era.

My major hope at the moment is that we pick up the next important piece in the squad namely an accomplished and exciting striker - I think that this is Loic Remy (first thing I do on the computer is google him before I log into this site!), I have started to get paranoid about the importance of signing him hopefully my 'gut feel' is spot on or his agent has done the best 'feel good' sales job in world football -fingers crossed .....I think!!

So true about Rafa wanting control over transfers to speed things up. the last few days have been like a whirlwind. Fair play Roy. Have a good feeling in my gut
about this season. Would love to get Raul though. Bit worried about a link with spurs. He is a great of football and could do what Klinsmann did in his first stint in the EPL.

Wilson has shown that he has promise, but i just dont feel its 5M of promise. But i suppose 5M is nothing now in football. I dont know if its the right move for the player either, granted the training etc will be better. But just how often will he play, and is game time in the SPL really worth less than training with Liverpool. I think Wilson may have made a bad move too. But as i said, i have my fingers crossed. Big sotirios kyrgiakos proved me wrong though, i thought he was a terrible signing and he showed me i was an idiot with some crackin displays.

im glad the wheels are finally turning with regards to transfers both in & out but i feel we still need to add some quality players like turan+bridge+swp/lennon + back up left back or one thats better than bridge.

The idea of adding Raul to the team is a very intriguing one. Sure, he's past his prime but could serve very well as a squad player even it's just for one season.

i dont think it is right to slag off rafa .i think he did well he maybe went wrong by taking on the owners . because you can never win . as they say he who holds the gold makes the rules (even if the gold is borrowed ) but rafa was always fighting against the tide and had the liverpool in his heart .rafa is a true gent

I believe we are a few weeks away from a MAJOR takeover.....I still cant get my head around Hodgson wanting the job....
1. No CL football this year.
2. Speculation over the future of Stevie, Masch & Torres.
3. Extremely limited funds available for redevelepment/stadium.
4. Disruption with owners.

With Cole signing, Gerrard committing, hopefully Torres & Masch staying once meeting with Hodgson, and with Hodgson taking the job i think he's been given information on the takeover bids, and has been given assurances over his transfer targets

Overall VERY happy with Roy's appointment, and wish him all the best!!!

i know weve made a couple of decent signings but lets keep our feet firmly on the floor here lads and not get carried away.

so far we've spent £0 (compared to what we have sold). yossi went for 5/6mil probably payed rafa and roys compo. so £2million at most raising to 5 in the future for wilson.

martin broughton was asked "when do you think the earliest possible date could be for the sale of the club?"... "by the end of this transfer window" he says. we've had a good few days yea, but for how long has our club constantly been dragged down by the owners and the media in the past. dont get too carried away just yet.
