well, it seems strange to me that both the president and manager of Nice along with Remy and his agent all saying they have received a bid from us and that a deal is close if there was no truth in it...
my feeling is roy just don't want to talk about it until the transfer is 100% certain to go through.
there may have been some interest past or present (scouting etc) that nice and his agent were aware of. maybe this is just a way of raising the players profile so the club, agent and player get the most out of the deal
i cant see us throwing our whole transfer kitty away on this player. no one has ever heard of him, theres probably a good reason for that. we've had a history of french attacking players none of them really turned out too well
