This gives us Torres, Remy, Kuyt, Jovanovic, Babel as striking options. How do we lack depth? Send Ngog on loan prompto.

The pesimist in me says, if he's as good as some of the statements about him suggest, then where are the mancs (whose scouting system along with Arsenal's, I consider to be the best in world football & who are in desperate need of a top striker) in all this? Why aren't they showing any interest in him? Yes I know they are after Benzema, but clubs always have a secondary, 3rd, 4th, etc, target should they fail in capturing their primary target.

So just to emphasise what Emp said. Don't believe the hype until you see him in a Liverpool shirt, performing Henry feats (without the use of his hands), on a consistant basis.

Likewise, allow him a full playing premiership season before you draw your conclusions on how good or bad he actually is. Bergkamp, Henry & Pires taught me that lesson, who were all a waste of space in their first seasons in the prem.

that is true acari. especially pires was a huge flop in his first season but he then turned out to be one of the best if not the best midfielder in england for a couple of seasons.

Agree 100% he could be good for us.
The thing I am liking the most of this deal is not that he will be good or not, but Jovanovic and now Remy it will look like we are going to be a lot more attacking minded next season.

Personaly I'm not holding out much hope for Jovanovic.

Hope the lad proves me wrong though.
