Sometimes I think 4-2-3-1 is the new way forward, but then again, Cruff said it cramps you in too much. That said, the bigger international teams (Brazil, Germany and Holland for example) all use this formation.

Only one problem with this formation and that is the 1 striker. Is it me or is there another formation you can play which takes advantage of 2 strikers rather than one. Yes, I know flat 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, but in the latter, you have 1 out-and-out striker and 2 wingers/strikers.

Should we look to practice a 2 striker formation for next season?

agreed, keep the same formation we used under rafa 4-2-3-1... it works (a hell of alot better with xabi alonso in your team)

we could possibly adapt in a few games, but fielding a 4-4-2 side in the prem these days you are likely to be out numbered in midfield by most sides

i Think we should play a 433 with the wide players coming back in midfield to make it a 451 when defending. but seriously against wolves or reading we must attack and with atleast 2 strikers.

-------------------Reina-----------------

-Johnson--Carragher--Agger--Figueroa

---------Scharner---------Aqualani-------

-Kuyt------------Gerrard--------Jovanovic

-------------------Torres---------------

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Subs:

Joe Cole,
Bryan Ruiz, (Spelling?)
Paul Scharner,
Peter Crouch,
Steven Defour,
Skrtel
Rodriguez
Pacheco
Babel

(Most of the players that are in the subs is because i dont know where most would fit in with this formation :P)

Just what i think the line up will be next season. Dont think Gerrard or Torres will leave simply as we are trying to price them out the market, Gerrard being just under £60m and Torres being £100m Price tags. I think Mascherano is definitely going to leave as his wife doesn't like Liverpool...:P

I find that amusing, because, clearly, it should be:

4-7-8-3-2.

Now that Nando is injured, maybe it's

4-7-8-4-1.

laugh

Its important we keep the one upfront.

We should revert to the formation that Nelson used to win at Waterloo.
