incredible!

im off to find a wall to go bang my head against until the end of the transfer window if this is the kind of chuff we're going to see on here
we need to raise serious funds to give our new manager a chance and Gerrard, Mascherano and Torres are our only real saleable assets with value we really need, Torres injury has severely hampered that so tell me again how is it good news with the new season fast approaching and Europa games only a matter of weeks away.

you want to sell our three best players, tell me how would that be good news? without champions league football we won't be able to attract the quality of player to match gerrard, torres and mascherano so it doesn't matter how much money we get. raising funds won't give our manager any chance if we sell our best players and can't replace them. fine if mascherano wants to go then maybe you can justify selling a defensive midfielder for £25-£30m and that will give us significant funds to reinvest along with selling some of those on the fringes.

to be upset that torres is injured is understandable as he is a huge part of our team but to be upset becase you think he now can't be sold alongside two of our other best players is laughable.

what would you do with £100m to replace our three best players and to improve the team?

Spain clearly rushed him back to quickly - he wasn't fit anyone could see that!!!! Hope it's not too bad but will be interesting to see what Roy does now. Will he go with Javanovic and Kuyty to lead the line or go into the market. I feel if he was toying with the idea this will now force his hand.

Some people believe it is better to have money in the bank than to have great players on the pitch. Since when did we become a selling club? If we are to have any ambition selling our best players is the biggest backward step we can make.

he's been overplayed and whenever he's been injured he's been rushed back too soon. what he needs is a break, some time to recover and then to be brought back in a responible manner. it's only because he's so valuable to us and Spain that he's been played too much and then brought back before he was fully ready. the euros, the confederations cup and now the world cup has meant he hasn't had a summer off in three years.

he didn't have these problems at Atletico, its an effect of his time at Liverpool. name me one striker of his level we could attract without champions league football on offer? one that we could buy without being out bid or the player prefering to go to another club?

im amazed at people wanting him to go to one of our premier league rivals to raise funds that the board will spendon reducing the clubs debt and then hand the spare change to buy a replacement. who would we be able to attract? WHO? we should be doing everything possible to keep him here not pushing into the arms of chelsea or man city.

Please, before you all start throwing in the towel & doing Hicks, Gillette & Purslow's evil deeds for them (i.e. selling off Torres). Allow our all new improved world class medical department to work their magic on him.
