i think i speak for all when i say he is a legend. him and gerrard have been the heart beat of the team for nearly a decade. i think gerrard still has a good few years let in him. but when it come to carra am not too sure. from watching him last year and in the world cup its starting to dawn on me that mayb he shouldn't be our automatic 1st choice centre bk in the coming season. maybe use him like we did with sami. carra was never the fastest player but he seems to have lost a few more yards and with the modern players being more of a athlete then footballers, can he still preform like he use too? can we afford to have a slow CD? (i saw this on another website and fort it was a good question)

James Lee Duncan "Jamie" Carragher (born 28 January 1978) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League side Liverpool. He is the current vice-captain and is one of the club's longest-serving players; he made his 600th appearance for Liverpool in all competitions in December 2009. He currently holds the dubious honour of scoring more own-goals against than regular-goals for Liverpool.
Age: 32
I would say 27-32 is the perfect age for a Center Back. Mainly because the like of pedro and bojan etc, there bodies are still growing etc, the only real threats carragher has to worry about are Rooney, Drogba, Van Persie and the likes of Crouch and Venergoor of Heselink (SP) As they tower over most defenders :L
Personally i say keep him in for another season, He is always there for us, he plays every game without complain, he is our vice captain, along with Gerrard they are the heart of liverpool, would you like the heart broken?

I think he should be a first choice in my opinion, Simply because he has the experience that most defenders can only wish for, when the likes of lennon charge towards him, he knows what to do, snap them down He is one of the, if not, the most experienced Premiership defender, he never has had any pace, i think the world cup has done him good aswell, lets him experience national football compared to english football all the time,

carra is a legend, he has never had pace but reads the game so well (much like sami). without him sorting the back 4 out they would be all over the place. he would always be one of the first names on my team sheet.
he is a player that we all know will never give up in a game. SPOT ON. He is an excellent reader. Lost alittle pace but this levels up with his reading of the game. On the other hand I belive we have a great prospect for future managment in Carragher. Carragher should already be included as a player/coach role.
