We've seen thw ork being carried out in the Academy ove rteh past 18 months and the under age teams and reserves are performing well but i think now is the time to blood some of these guys!!

Spearing needs to be given a chance to prove if he can cut it, same too with Darby. I think everyone will agree that Kelly is an outsanding prospect and from what i've seen of Eccelston i'm hopeful too, he went to Huddersfield but was shunted onto the wing so i wouldn't read too much into that move.

I think these 4 will be knocking around the 1st team this year and i'd liek to see Ince, Amoo,Wisdom and Dalle Valle given a run in the cup!! We need more british talent and hopefully Roy will give these kids a chance

definatley give them a run in the league cup, possibly fa cup if depending on who we draw.

i would like to see some of our younger players loaned out more often. surely first team football is more beneficial then sitting in the reserves all year round

Spearing doesn't even stand out for the reserves. Reminds me off John Welsh - we all expected him to come through, and as it turns out he is really rather crap.

If any of our young players are good, we would be reading about top Championship clubs coming in with loan offers. The fact that we have only heard about potential offers for Ngog says it all.

Pacheco and Dalle Valle have stood out in the Ressies and to be honest, I would rather loan them out until Xmas to see how they cope. Manure have done this for years, and I think it is something we should imitate.

i agree i dont think spearing will make it. in my opinion if a player isnt playing some 1st team football at 21 he wont make it. if a player is really good everyone at the club will know his a outstanding talent, and it wont be a csae of if he makes it but more of a when he makes it. fowler,mc manaman, owen, rednapp, . i didnt add cara to that list cos i fort he was pants when he was a youngster

saw a bit of spearing when he moved here to leicester and in my opinion he's not going to make it at premiership level. much in the same way guthrie found his level playing in the championship i think thats where spearing will end up. he didn't seem to have the pace, the stamina or the touch to make it at the top level and certainly not good enough to replace masch or even lucas.

would love to see us replicate the barcelona or bayern system where there is a systematic approach and policy at the club to develop players ready for the first team. Irrespective of management or personel changes they have their youth teams play in the same system that they will in the first team. their players are given time to make an impression in the first team, not just the odd ten minutes here or their and their local scouting and recruitment programmes are superb.

hopefully roy will show a little more faith in some of them and more faith than some fans have shown. we call for youth players to be promoted and then criticise them on less than half a seasons games. if insua were at bayern a judgement on him would be based over more than 20 first team games

I honestly dont invisage spearing making the grade at us, he hasn't ever caught my eye at even reserve level, he doesnt dictate the pace of the games and not once have i came away from a reserve game thinking he ran the game there. Having seen a few training sessions this season already and from what i saw of him at charlton shelvey looks really promosing, he a big lad with good feet, reads games well and see a pass, cant believe he only just 18. Would also like to say insua looks really top at minute av alwayss thou he big but if he to stay he got alot work ahead of him, it also nice to see aquillani at training with lads early a big year for him now.
