The January transfer window is usually pretty much a non event but I wonder will this one be different?
First of all, clubs have more or less the whole of December off to arrange deals with other clubs.
Secondly, certain clubs are badly in need of reinforcements like Liverpool in midfield.
I do think we will see more activity this January than usual.
ER, I accept in the past we have made some very significant signings in January but generally it is much quieter than the summer window. I think we need it to be a big one this January and maybe it will. FSG are going to want to make sure the club they are selling are in the Champions League and in order to do that we going to need at least one significant addition in midfield.
Non event, really? I think we bought Suarez, Coutinho, VVD and Diaz in a Jan window....
