I think we were last in this position when Brendan was sacked a little bit more than a season after we almost won the league.

We agree that Klopp over achieved but that kind of situation will surely have caused a burn out, thus he wanted to take a break at the end of the season until emotions took over and he signed a new contract.

Does he have the energy to continue? I think he will call it a day if he cannot turn it around end of the season, if not earlier.

I believe there has been friction between Klopp and the Owners / Board for a while now. Our transfer policy is a train wreck and stifles progression. Klopp's needs are not being addressed and the Owners are being over zealous with their frugality.

Our squad have been together for so long that it has become stale with age and injuries. Those that have been brought in were backups to Klopp's preferred choices that we had lost out on to other clubs (except for maybe Diaz) and have not give us the desired effect. The unwillingness to pay the going rate has brought us here.

I fully expect the likes of VVD, Alisson etc... to have their heads turned at the World Cup and that even more problems are on the horizon with them wanting to leave a sinking ship.

We are at crisis point and something has to give and that unfortunately will be Klopp not seeing out the season. Just who would be willing to takeover from Klopp with the restrictions is the question? no decent successful Manager will want to test their abilities against what Klopp has done previously with a shoestring budget.

Stevie G will be our next Manager - not that I want him to be because I don't think he is good enough, but because he is the only one who would take on the task on a shoestring budget.

The only way out here is if FSG sell up which may be a possibility with the way the Financial climate is going. Hopefully FSG can pocket their 4th most valued club in The World cash and f..cuk off sooner rather than later!

How do you do that? United fans have been trying for decades, in vain...

It's really quite simple. We've been over-achieving and playing high intensity football with a threadbare squad for 6 years. We just can't keep that up with ageing players like Milner or serially crocked players like Matip and Keita. No new infusion of new players means that we're stuck with rinsed players. Buying Nunez alone wasn't enough - we need 4-5 key new players.

United fans at least have a campaign Liverpool fans don’t. In fact I have met many who admire them they saved us from bankruptcy apparently ?!!

Anyone the one time the Liverpool fans did stand up to them they relented that was the walk out on ticket prices. I think the FSG out chants on the Kop are not far away then Henry will have the same problem the glaziers have and dare not go to the ground

Henry of course can still stop in Boston laughing at the mug fans as the glaziers do and that’s the way it’s heading. By the way glaziers despite the fan anger spend way more than Henry does

Yes, the Glaziers have been spending a lot, second only to City over the last decade, but it's not their own money. It's just that United is a money generating machine which allows them to spend much more than us. What I meant was that United fans couldn't get rid of their owners, can't see how it can be very different for us

I don’t know if it’s the owners or if klopp is being stubborn, whatever it is, the problem is with the lack of freshness in the squad. How can we compete with a midfield that’s always injured and a make shift RB who is approaching 40.

We’ve done this to ourselves by not investing correctly, and getting rid of our best Player last year.
