The only way that the PSG deal with Mbappe makes sense is if they sell him in next summer or the summer after.
I reckon the 100m signing bonus will be recouped by a mega transfer next summer or the summer after that by a sale to Madrid after he has had a chance to win the Champions League for his hometown club with Messi and Neymar.
No way are they going to let his three year contract run down again.
Also, bet we see Zidane come in to manage the team this summer to win that CL trophy that is PSG’s Holy Grail.

Do you really think that the PSG owners are concerned about the 100m sign in bonus? Do you know that Real offered close to 200m in Jan? If they want to keep him they will offer him the kind of money nobody can offer, with the price of LNG, Qatar has even more money these days

With Qatar hosting the World Cup they wanted to keep him as a top priority, so they gave him pretty much whatever he wanted.
They know they can sell to RM in a few years, not that they have to.
Strange move by Mbappe to stay, all the signs were that he wanted the move and wherever he ended up he was going to get crazy money, so that would not really be a factor I guess, but PSG is his hometown club, so maybe that swung it, similar to Gerrard being tempted by Chelsea, where he could have earnt/won more, but then decided to stay with us.

No, Madrid couldn't match what he was offered by PSG

The fact is there is very little competition in the French League for PSG, so what's the point really, he needs to go and test himself in one of the top leagues like La Liga or PL.

Why does he need to go and test himself elsewhere, PSG hasn't been too different to City in the CL. I think it's better for football for him to stay in Paris instead of going to RM. Did you ever say that SG had to go and test himself elsewhere when it looked impossible for us to win the EPL?

The French League is second rate and the best players all want to test themselves in at least one of the top four leagues(England, Spain, Italy and France). Also, PSG keep coming up short in CL due to the standard of competition they face week in week out domestically. I reckon if PSG don’t win it next season he will be off to probably Madrid.

If winning the CL is dependent on the standard of the league, I wonder then why the best team in the EPL over the last 5 years has still not won it. However, I think Mbappe will end up leaving City in 3 years if not earlier
