If you can believe the papers - Juventus seem to be putting a package together for him, if they're prepared to pay for him at the end of the season what sort of transfer fee do you think we should demand? I was thinking £80 - 90m We shouldn't accept anything below 100m, I know his age and contract dictate otherwise but he is one of the best players in this era. I think the £100m tag is a fair one. As people say he stays fit, can probably play until 35 and beyond at the highest level like Ronaldo and Zlatan. And if he is still knocking in the goals for someone else and we are not winning trophies we will only have ourselves to blame. If we win all 4 this season with him at the head of that team you don't ask for anything less than £100m. Then again if we won all 4 and we wanted more of the same and believe he can produce it again and again there is only one sensible thing to do. Pay the man. Believe me the fans wouldn't care. It's a big gamble either way. But this guy loves the game and loves playing for Liverpool.

If we win all 4 cups, tear up his current deal and give him a flat rate, as our contracts our heavily incentivised !!! I do not think what we win affects his value, he is a proven top class player over the years, but it should help us pay him more as we will earn allot more money from TV/Sponsors etc.

The difference in TV rights between winning the league and coming second is about 5m, the difference is bigger by winning the CL, for the FA cup it's minimal. However, increasing his fixed is about the future expenses and means changing the structure. I would rather sell him for a big fee and invest in younger player/s while Klopp is still around.

That is a sensible approach and not too different to selling best players and reinvesting wisely for future success. The transfers in have been phenomenal and that and the wage structure works. I can remember Arsenal being famous for having a stringent wages policy. That was broken by the likes of Ozil and Aubameyang and look at the problems that has caused. Man United have suffered with several players over the years on wages far higher than what Salah is on now. And look at the mess they are in now. For him to stay we need to be successful and in this moment we are in 3 competitions with one in the cabinet. Success will be taking down one of the big 2 trophies. More is possible and it may take that bit more to keep him.

I'm thinking he's going to play Salah, Mane & Diaz v Benfica. He didn't give Salah & Mane the full game today and left Diaz on the bench. Both Bobby & Jota played the full game which leads me to believe they'll be on the bench. Diaz has not lost v Benfica in his time at Porto so his experience / knowledge against them will be invaluable. On Salah I think he's probably suffering with confidence due to losing again in such an important game v Senegal on pens. He was also on the receiving end of some nasty abuse by Senegal fans all through that WC play off game. How they allowed that game to carry on with lasers being shone into players faces all through the game and then the pen shootout, I'll never know? I could see Salah being benched for City game next weekend but not against Benfica. I seen reports Salah is ready to sign the contract Liverpool have offered. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mohamed-salah-new-liverpool-contract-26620187

It's great we now have the option to leave out Salah, Mane & Firmino if they are out of form/need a rest.
Salah has had a rough couple of weeks with losing the ACN final and then not qualifying for the World Cup, we all know how much playing for his country means to him. I think he just needs a goal, I can see him playing and scoring against Benfica midweek, then he will be setup for Man City.
Hopefully the reports are true that he is close to signing a new deal.
