Reading press reports things are not looking too good for Mo Salah being here next season. Contract talks have stalled as the club are not prepared to tear up the wage structure by paying him £400k a week.
Also, he seems to have gone off the boil this year. He did not play well at the AFCON and has not been at his amazing best since his return.
Given that he is going to be 30 in June with one year left on his contract it would not be surprising to see FSG cash in on their £100m+ asset.
Not sure what we going to do without his goals and assists.

I have no doubt FSG would love to sell Salah in the summer for £100+ million if they know he will not sign a new contract, but I think Salah is letting his contract run down to get a huge new contract at a new club.
So why would he agree to a transfer now and miss out on a free transfer in a year?
As for replacing Salah, lots of great players have come and gone over the years, LFC will go on, Jota, Diaz, Elliott & Jones are a good start, plus we will probably bring in more players.

I don't think Salah leaving would go down well with most fans. 20+ goals a year for 4 years now he is a major part of our success. How many millions will it take to replace him rather than just giving him more money. If he ends up being so greedy that it's all about the money then fine he can take his chances elsewhere but I don't want it to be becasue we cheaped out.

Maybe he replaces Mbappe there but not sure why he would swap EPL for France.

And he will swap for the wage he wants because he thinks he is worth it, as simple

From reports I have heard that is in the region he has been offered, but FSG also offer allot more incentivised packages based on success, I think he wants to be more on a par with top earning players in the PL, like De Bruyne, De Gea & Pogba who are on around £400K a week

If he ends up being so greedy that it's all about the money then fine he can take his chances elsewhere but I don't want it to be becasue we cheaped out. Most fans will not be happy to see him leave, but they understand why the club will not pay £400-500K a week for a 30 year old on a 4-5 year deal, it is a big risk and could create trouble with other players demands, Salah has been great for us, we have also been great for Salah, so if his priority is the largest pay packet, most fans will understand that and let him leave. I expect there will be some big moves in the summer, with Mbappe and Haaland moving, so maybe FSG are playing the waiting game to see where they end up and who needs/could afford Salah. The sensible thing is we are bringing in replacements like Jota & Diaz now, which takes the pressure of abit if a Salah or Mane leave, rather than sat there with £100+million from a sale and clubs we goto for a replacement demanding that money, which is what happened with the likes of Torres when he left.
