Klopp speaking at his pre-match press conference today about Salah's contract situation:

"I think Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious and we are. It's Mo's decision. All fine from my point of view. Nothing has happened further, no signing, no rejection, we just have to wait. Completely fine, no rush."

An hour afterwards (first tweet since February 17th), Salah's agent:

I can't put into words how much I can't stand this clown. I know the feeling is shared around the club. I find his response childish and disrespectful to the boss, even though there's no proof it's linked, but come on.

Maybe he knows some things the boss is unaware of, I mean, I dont think Klopp is involved in the negotiations but the agent is. I personally think that Salah will be sold to PSG this summer to replace Mbappe who is Real Madrid bound

Same old FSG, leaving contracts to fester, letting the press stoke the fire, ultimately p#ssing players off. It happened with Gini, it happened with Emre Can.

Salah hired the agent to represent him, so he must be happy with his representation/business.

I think it is pretty clear now Mo will not be signing a new deal, so I think it will come down to if we try and sell him or he runs down his contract and leaves on a free (which I expect to happen) which I prefer as we get to keep him another 18 months.

Agree with you, except the last part, my feeling is that Salah will be replacing Real Madrid bound Mbappe. We will try to get the maximum possible fee as we did with Suarez and Coutinho. I don't think the club will pay the wages Salah is asking and I am not too concerned, as long as we use the money wisely as we did with Coutinho

Whether the agent is childish or not, the club need to give Salah the contract he deserves, the guy has carried us virtually on his back ever since he stepped foot in the club with his goals. The top players in the league are getting over 300k a week and even average players like De gea, pogba, are getting that wage. An aging Ronaldo is getting 500k, de bruyne is on 350k. We are always told this is the the most profitable league in the game so pay up or shut up time from the club.

As fans I don't think we truly appreciate Salah. To me he deserves the adoration of a Stevie G and he is well on his way to King Kenny Legend status.

I tend to agree with snake eye above yes the agent was disrespectful but that’s agents they are rouges

The more important question is are we a big club or not? £400k a week is something they would get at Manchester United or city or Chelsea (as was)
