Just looking at our top 10 biggest sales, of course Coutinho is No 1 followed by Suarez, however I was surprised to see that no 8 in the list was Rhian Brewster who we sold to Sheffield Utd for 23million.

Essentially a youth player with a scattering of first team appearances.

Contrast that with January where we signed Luis Diaz for only 14million pounds more.

Truly amazing.

Looking at his stats he has scored 3 goals in 41 games for them.

Of course we have our buyback which expires in June 2023 set at40million, 3 million more than we paid for Luis Diaz. Madness

Absolute madness.

Brewster was hot property at the time. I think he was coming off the back of a successful loan spell with Swansea. And had the English premium price tag.

It was around that time the transfer market starting going absolutely bonkers.
It’s still nuts now. But teams less likely to spend silly money after the pandemic.

Crazy though as he is probably half the player Origi is and will never fetch anywhere near as much.

Lots of promise and potential, but never got anywhere near. Maybe due to the bad injury but unfortunately for him

We sold him on the back of his England U17 performances and a good loan to Swansea, he rarely played for us, so the price we got was amazing, I guess the coaches thought he would not make it as a striker for us, he is still young, so has time to develop and improve.

We still have a buy back clause if he does well, I cannot see us using it.

Solanke is doing much better for Bournemouth, scored 20 goals in the Championship so far this season.
