The San Siro was never the place to throw a kid into the cauldron and very nearly backfired on us. TAA got isolated and had probably his worst game for us because of Elliott playing like a rabbit in headlights. Elliott's passing was reckless and he failed to backtrack along with TAA. Persic was having a field day down our right hand side and had it been a wiser opposing Manager they'd have exploited that to the fullest!
Hendo showed last night why he is still a very important player for us, Elliott was fairly poor, but it was good experience for him, TAA played poorly also, but that was probably because he did not get much protection from Elliott and was worried.
This is why we need a strong squad as we have now, so we can change games and have quality like Henderson to come on if needed.
