Not such a good display from Jordon Henderson against Burnley. 50% pass accuracy vs 83% for Keita and 90% for Fabhino. I don’t think he has been great for most of the season.
Jurgen pulled him off before the hour mark. With all the other midfielders back to full full and us needing to win every game to have any chance of catching City it will be interesting to see how Klopp uses him.
I think we going to get to see just how ruthless a great manager needs to be.

Henderson has been very good for us, a slow start and nearly sent to Fulham, but all players reach a stage when they leave or are moved on.
I think we will see some major changes from a midfield perspective in the summer, given Klopps recent comments about the front 3 (age not being an issue) and the arrival of Diaz.
I'd like to see Bellingham and Saka come in with Henderson, Milner and Ox on the move/retiring.

think next season on he will start being phased to be being an option rather than a must pick.
My opinion is that he and Fabinho are more of the ball winner type rather than a ball user. Fabinho has better reading and tackling, while Hendo has more legs (which will be gone shortly as he is 30) and presses more. Hendo has a better passing range and is slightly more progressive but I see Harvey Elliot as taking over the right sided midfield role as he is a lot more comfortable in possession, can pass and move in tight spaces. In the games against city and chelsea it was completely obvious that our current midfielders (less thiago and elliot) can't handle being put under pressure.
So it will ultimately be a choice of Hendo vs Fabinho in the more CDM role as the 2 CM positions should be used for players more comfortable in possession (imo).

If we get to the Champions League Final this season I’d be surprised if he plays a big role in getting there or starts the final. Hopefully we will get to see.

I think Henderson still has a significant role being the captain, he leads on the pitch and helps the younger players in particular is a valuable asset which I am sure Klopp appreciates.
I expect we will bring in a younger MF in the summer, but I cannot see Henderson leaving, he is the perfect replacement for the Milner role, he has just signed a big new deal, so I cannot see many clubs being able to afford his wages if we were to sell.

He is certainly capable of having the odd poor game but overall a key player and will be in the future also, maybe with a bit of rotation.

Hendo & Keita made a big difference for us last night when they came on. Changed the outcome of the game, Klopp got his starting line up wrong and it was only by fortune we didn't have a mountain to climb by the time he made changes. Inter were the better team up to the hour mark, had the better clear chances.
The San Siro was never the place to throw a kid into the cauldron and very nearly backfired on us. TAA got isolated and had probably his worst game for us because of Elliott playing like a rabbit in headlights. Elliott's passing was reckless and he failed to backtrack along with TAA. Persic was having a field day down our right hand side and had it been a wiser opposing Manager they'd have exploited that to the fullest!

Hendo showed last night why he is still a very important player for us, Elliott was fairly poor, but it was good experience for him, TAA played poorly also, but that was probably because he did not get much protection from Elliott and was worried. This is why we need a strong squad as we have now, so we can change games and have quality like Henderson to come on if needed.

TAA and Eliott playing together is making our right side very lightweight and defensively weak
