Yeah, I think Elliot will be after the number 7 shirt. Milner has been a great player and his experience helped us with the PL & CL, but he has struggled a few times this season coming on, so I think iy is time to move on, he will probably struggle to get a game with the new players coming in and likely more players in the summer.

I don't think Milner would get anymore gametime at Leeds than if he was with us. I would look to help him get his Coaching badges and integrate him into our Coaching setup. He is respected everywhere for what he has done in the game and I'm certain he'll one day be a great Manager.

I've always felt Milner would be a better fit as a future Liverpool Manager than Stevie G. There's no skeletons in Milner's closet, never ever heard him being in trouble off the pitch or going on a rant on social media...he is the consummate pro!

I don't understand why Milner will be a better fit than Stevie, the latter has been the greatest servant of the club, probably ever or at least in the modern era, can't think of any player more attached with LFC. Of course I am not comparing coaching credentials

Just my personal opinion Vish. We could get a similar situation to what the mancs had with Oli, letting blind sentiment cloud our judgement.

He's started off well in his Management career, however I believe he still has some ways to go for us to consider Stevie G. If Klopp walked out the door tomorrow, the obvious candidate would be Pep Ljinders, but I would fast track Milner to work alongside him.

Stevie G needs to keep Villa relevant and to try and win a cup with them before I will believe he is ready for the Liverpool job.

Unsure on this guy honestly, there will be be a bedding period so I don't expect him to start immediately even with Salah and Mane unavailable. I have a very low expectation so hopefully he will surprise us.

Why do you have such low expectations? He seems like a very good player.

He is coming from a poor league where Porto wins a majority of their games. Pl will be much tougher.

CR7 also came from that league, so judging only from that is quite a self imposed limitation. There are quite a few other players who did quite well coming from that league like Luis Figo and even Bruno Fernández. Not saying that Diaz will be great but the poor league statement is wrong in my opinion

I understand what you are saying regarding Stevie but saying you think Milner will be better is baseless

I am not sure on Ljinders, often assistant managers do not make the best managers moving up.

Will be interesting to see how FSG handle Klopp's replacement, as it stands now Klopp is due to leave 2024, so I am guessing whoever will replace Klopp, ideally, FSG will want them to work side by side for a while for continuity, maybe as an assistant, like they have with Edwards being replaced by Ward.
