Now if we let Origi go, that cuts our forward line even further, especially when Mane and Salah go to AFCON.

Nobody is asking for big-name signings, we could have gone under the radar and bought Saul in midfield, and a forward like Isak.

We do not have money, for some reasons we are the only club which suffered from the pandemic.

The problem is we got Top 4 CL qualification last season with a huge injury crisis and a pandemic, so I think FSG now think if we can do it with an injury crisis like that (probably will not see again), why do we need to add more players/spend more, the team is good enough to get Top 4 comfortably, which it probably is, our rivals for Top 4 are Leicester & Spurs really, I cannot see either of them finishing above us, we should get Top 4, just depends which position we get.

The ironic thing is, I think if we missed Top 4 CL, the next season FSG would probably invest £100 million in us to get Top 4 next season, the more successful we are, the less they will probably spend!

Lmao, no other team had to endure the pandemic and the consequences of a lockdown.

Invest 100 million? You cannot be serious. I rather think that if we do not qualify for CL for a couple of seasons they would sell and run

We still have a huge payroll caused by being successful. If we don't want success we need to sell these high earners. Everyone at the club must be believing we have enough to take one of the big 2 trophies again. Or did everyone want to go all in for Mbappe or Haaland and get rid of our front 3 to fund it?

We are still going to be hard to beat. Keeping this team together comes at a cost.

Though we would be all super happy to have signed Haaland or Mbappe, nobody is foolish enough to ask that, but being 12th in tge net spend table is unacceptable, we are top 4 in terms of revenues, so at least 5th or 6th in the net spend table is a minimum. Origi is hardly playing even when we were struggling to score last season, why wasn't he replaced? We are probably hard to beat, but couldn't beat a 10 men Chelsea at home because we were out of ideas in front...again

We also sold two of our midfielders, Wiji and Shaqiri, and are now left with two injury-prone players, Ox and Thiago.
