Nothing against the English players and I'm trying not to sound bitter, I just don't know why people react to the football team the way they do. Does it really affect Lee Dixon as much as he was making out, happy to see cheating to get to a final he's not playing in?

Added to the fact that I'm living in Portugal now and I can't even return to my UK home without tests for children and quarentine etc.. Why are the public 10x more passionate about millionaire's playing football than about state-sponsored child abuse? I've no love left for that place for sure.

ps. Plus... they haven't shut up about 66' for 55 years. The whole team and manager will be knighted..

I am not English, neither a fan of England but I don't understand your post about being passionate about millionaires playing football, why are you passionate about LFC and its players then? As for cheating, I am not too sure about that, and even if it was, who doesn't do it, Salah?

I've no idea on the Liverpool players. I suppose it's a team I chose, not just where I happen to be born. I don't see every tom, dick and harry screaming and jumping for games despite never showing an interest. We don't do it when the cricket team does well.

I don't like saying 'millionaire footballers' because I think they deserve whatever they're paid by their clubs. I certainly feel a lot less passion than I used to about LFC though.

It feels a little childish the way people the national team. Maybe it's nostalgia but I feel the England players were more likeable 'back in the day'. 1990-96 peaked for me. Could be childhood memories, or maybe it was before the dawn of the superstar.

It was a tongue in cheek remark about needing a dive to beat the Danes. Nothing more, nothing less. For the record I don't like seeing Salah do it either.

Unfortunately cheating in the game has been around since the game's inception and history never tells the true tale.

The one shining light for this England teams performance at this tourny is that they seem to had found camaraderie. So many times before, cliques had destroyed our participation before it had even began.
